Welp ... that's done. Tough game but we still got stuff to accomplish this season. One game at a time

Bama played fine.

UK was just the veritable buzzsaw from the floor today. You just tip your cap and move on to the next.
Bama played fine, offensively!

I keep hearing Oats say defense has to improve. I just don't see any improvement.
Kentucky is team that you should play well offensively, because they don't defend well.

I hoped team defense would improve over time, but it doesn't look like it.

I only watched a little in the 2nd half. What i saw was decent effort but horrible team dynamic on defense.

This doesn't change anything. I never expected to win this game, so we're still right on track. The Tennessee game is way more important. The fact that it was such a blowout may end up helping us get to where we need to be to compete for championships in the postseason. It does give me a little more pause about being able to beat Florida in Gainesville. Aside from the game at Creighton, we have been atrocious against good teams on the road. As long as we beat Tennessee, then we can probably afford that one too, so long as we win the rest.

The defense has been more physical. We are not gonna be a team that gives up 60 pints a game that some think comes with being a good defensive team. We play at a fast pace and shoot quickly so teams are gonna score high 70s to 80 points a game even with a good defensive effort. The key is points to possessions and field goal % that is better judge of team defenses. We our in top third of field goal defense and top half in points possession. We are a slightly better than average defense but with how well we can score should be good enough. We were 10 th in defensive 3 point percentage of power 5 schools coming into this game today was just the outlier.

100% agree I said other week hold serve at home and find a way to get 1 win of last 3 on the road and worse we can do is share the conference. Get 2 and we win it outright.

Tough defenses like today, at Tennessee and at Auburn are this teams Achilles heel. No open looks for 3 ball. Hoping UT at home will be a different story. RTR

They played by far their best game and honestly we didn't play horribly, but they were just crazy good today. It makes the UT game and Florida game essentially must wins to finish with the regular season conference title. Raise your hand if you thought we'd be in this position after losing all our coaches and all but 3 players. Oats has done an outstanding job.

Whew, we got that tail whipped today. It happens. I never expect to win on the road in the SEC, especially at UK. We need to win home games and steal one more road win. Roll Tide!
