Far as I can tell is that Woods made a comment that could be taken many different ways but wasn’t definitive and everyone jumped to conclusions.

Stephen M Smith has caused more damage to the Alabama fanbase and Alabama team than any other reporter Ive ever known. I honestly have more respect for Joesph Goodman as a writer than Stephen M Smith.
I know his former co-host of his radio show in the Shoals. He shared some things with me. What’s seen on TDA isn’t the half of it. Smith believes he has a high football IQ and is on another level than other “analysts.”

The problem is more that he is basically no better than the Bama YouTubers in content but he constantly tries to act like he is someone that has deep connections and clout within the program. However most of the stuff he tends to break comes from random message board posts and twitter. This is basically what guys like Matt be Great and the other YouTube gang do but Stephen takes it much further.

I think what is really going on right now with him is now he knows he is going to have to walk back a lot of “leaks” that he had on Ty Simpson last year and the fact a lot of that got him shut out of the few privileges that he had that he is going to take a small break. Some people in the athletic department weren’t too happy with him for some of his “breaking news” about the quarterback battle in 2023, and I’m not talking about coaches.

Lot of this are true for many reasons. I believe I've stated on several occasion that I wasn't big fan of him and his work. Saban was not fond of him at all. The Bama beat reporters have showed their disdain for him on social media many times. I believe he got fired from TDA.

The Current show he is on, Bama Standard network, is not any better than TDA.

I tell what's aggravating as well: Whenever former players tweet about Alabama program, they take it and make a story out of it, and even try to get them on the show.

I really hate it when you have young cocky kids such as Coach Smook, and Smith abusing their privileges. Their sources are usually 90 percent wrong of the time.

Probs wrong thread for this question but I’m confused. I thought mbakwe was gonna try and do both wr and corner but I’ve seen in print the last couple of days that he’s a wr
Well.of he's gone through almost a year of db work, and just barely any wr work, he probably should be spending way more time with the wrs as he's got a lot more.to learn on that front.

My understanding is that He'll be at WR position for the bowl game, and will play both way in the spring. If he does well at both, We can expect him doing the same next fall.

Meanwhile, in reality…
Talking about next year. Jalen Hale has been at practice. Pretty sure he'll be good to go by September. Cole Adams should be healed up. The transfer will have spring and fall to learn the ropes. How is Rico Scott a bust? He's caught 4 passes for 51 yds in two games. And those in whoville are talented freshmen. Well, one is a redshirt freshman.

He's wayyyyy worse than Sallee
Sallee is more of a fanalyst in that he takes it as a giddy homer perspective. I don’t necessarily follow his Auburn stuff but he is a Braves fan so I have to deal with his perspective time to time. His takes can be stupid as all get out but they never cross the line and are detrimental to the program.

Smith on the other hand…. He is trying to be the next Rodney Orr and Cecil Hurt wrapped up in one. Basically he spews out anything he hears or reads off a message board and presents it as fact without considering the consequences. I think a big reason why Milroe receives a good deal of his criticism is because people like Smith constantly pushed a certain narrative and people who know better actually echoed him. For instance Smith presented one story about Simpson implying that he was a privileged coach’s boy who constantly divided the team and in another that the wide receivers would only practice with Milroe and never would practice with Buchner or Simpson even if they asked. Those stories are really dangerous and totally irresponsible. It’s one thing for someone on a message board or twitter to post it and it’s entirely another for an Alabama football media commentator to do it. I know for a fact that the coaches and athletic department were irate about his reporting in 2023.

I think Sallee is a saint compared to Smith. I hope Smith stays away from Alabama but I think he thinks to highly of himself to follow through with it.

Seems like this view of Simpson made the rounds in here last year. He was painted as jerk who the team refused to play for, thus the whole USF debacle from last year
