and the rest of the college football world has conniptions because, for them, "a win is a win no matter how easy"

Going to be interesting how the seeding changes after the Championship games. Right now Penn State gets to play Arizona State and Boise. If they win the Championship they would be playing 1 less game that game could be vs a much better team.

Right now Oregon being set to play winner of Ohio State and Tennessee seems like a punishment for being the 1 seed.

This 12 team playoff is a luck of the draw bracket now.

Penn State getting two teams they should push around physically.
Georgia getting Indiana, whom they should manhandle.
Oregon getting the TN/OSU winner seems ridiculous....when the Big 10 CG loser gets Arizona State.

Honestly, with this Alabama team I would not be surprised if we make it and win the first game since we will have time to prepare and then lose in the 2nd round to SMU since we'll probably be favored and won't take them seriously.
It would be bizarre for us to do that. Lose the game? Maybe, but not due to overlooking or having a letdown. Simply because it is the playoffs.

But, we'll see.

Idk I feel like that fits the current trend of this team. Beat UGA then lose to Vandy. Essentially lock in a SECCG appearance then lose to Oklahoma.

Have extra time to prepare for a road game against ND then lose to an obviously overmatched SMU. We would probably be significantly favored over SMU if it fell this way and we had just beaten ND on the road.

Adding the playoff factor to the equation might change that. If we do make it, we will find out.

I said the same thing last night.

They'd beat either ND or PSU in the 1st round then throw up vs either BSU or UNLV or SMU in the Quarters.

That is exactly this teams MO

But that's also not factoring in weather.

If it were to snow or sleet vs ND or PSU Milroe might lose 5 fumbles.

Honestly, in some ways bad weather might help this team. I get the fumble angle but also imagine it would be very hard for them to tackle Milroe if we could get his running game going.
