Do any of you honestly think we would have won big if Coker was playing? O am done with this thread don't even bother responding.
I agree, bringing in Coker would have been the wrong decision. However, I understand why so many Alabama fans were so hopeful about him. They were hoping for a championship caliber quarterback to materialize. Well, I'm sorry to say, Blake is just not a championship quarterback. He's much improved, and in all likelihood he's the best we've got, but we're likely not going to win a championship on that. However, with that said, I've seen nothing to say that Coker is that championship caliber quarterback either, and right now Blake is our best and team leader and we should be sticking with him.

Something really strange going on with this team. That brought back some really bad memories from the DuBose era teams going up to Fayetteville and looking like a deer in headlights. But we won.

They just don't look like they're having much fun.. like they are wound way too tight. And then there is a lack of focus that is an epidemic at this point.
i've thought this since halfway through last year, that it looks like the team is playing under such immense pressure that the fear of failure is a burden rather than motivation.

I have seen people mention that they need to have fun again.

I agree, seems like they just want to go out there...do their job and then buy time until they go off to the NFL.

I think Blake gives us the best chance to win next week vs A&M but I think our offense has a higher ceiling with JC. I think what is happening now is what a lot of people were alluding to before the season started. Blake was more ready to play right off the bat but had a lower ceiling. Now that teams have figured out how to counter Blake (as Earle said in the game thread, double AC and bring safeties in the box, take away the short passes, force Blake to beat you vertical down the field vs one on one coverage), we don't seem to have anything to counter with on offense. I do agree without better offensive line play that it doesn't matter who the QB is. I still think Blake should start next week because I think he gives us the best chance to beat A&M but if we lose another game I would be for starting JC to get him experience for next year. Blake did look phenomenal in the home game vs UF so maybe since the game is back at home next week he will be more comfortable..

Bringing in Coker would have made no difference imo. Our problems are more fundamental than that.

I disagree about ND. Not that it looks like it will matter this year, but we should hope they keep winning in the off-chance that we might get paired with them in the play-offs.
