****Bama vs. LSU PostGame Thread****

I have always liked & have had respect for Les Miles, but, when he kept passing the ball on that last drive & literally put Mett's in mortal danger of his life, I lost respect for him..At times you have to accept a loss & live to fight another day..You don't wanna lose your starting QB in a lost cause..Not smart Les , actually, that was downright stupid..

Miles has done some dumb things over the years but I think that may have been his dumbest move yet. If you are a top-notch QB recruit you're probably not going to think too highly of Miles after tonight.

What a game! AJ has definitely made his name at the top of the Heisman lists for many.

This is the most physical team we will play. Most balanced as well. I just loved our adjustments at the half. A true identity of greatness.
As usual Alaynna..You're spot on..I wish my girlfriend was into football & as knowledgeable on the subject like our Ladies here on TideFans..I reckon I can't have my cake & eat it too..LOL

Scanning some of the trash posted on the LSU board makes me realize why those people aren't welcome here. :)

I had the same conversation with my wife after the game. If he picks up the 1st or even scores on that drive, it makes no difference. He knew Kirby would "sell the farm" on 4th. If you punt the ball, the game has the same exact ending: A.J. taking a knee... I don't understand. Actually felt bad for Mett. You could see the "look" in his eyes after the 3rd down sack. He knew how that story was going to end.

If it had been a 14 point game I could excuse leaving him in on fourth down, because a TD and an onside kick and they are right back in it. But down 21 with two minutes left, with three straight sacks and a QB who's been limping all night, it is time to wave the white flag.

What's funny is that, I think Defense grew up a lot in second half. I think we'll see more of the pass rushing and sacks going forward.. and less bust coverages.

Slow start, dominating finish...I think we completed the game and emerged relatively healthy. Time to get ready for the Bulldogs next week...Roll Tide!!

That LSU OL should be ashamed of themselves. They allowed their QB to get pummeled within an inch of his life on four straight plays, then allowed him to drag himself off the field without even attempting to help him.

Seriously, I'm glad he's alright.

Yeah, they quit on Mett. I don't like the guy but he played a pretty good game and showed a lot of courage but then his coach and his OL hung him out to dry.

I"m proud of those boys. I"m still worried about the passing defense. they have two weeks to clean up the mistakes.

3 weeks.

Auburn doesn't pass. They run the SAME two plays, just out of different formations. They just run..that's it..read option run with the QB or with a RB. They don't pass the ball at all.

Missouri, however, is another story.

I said in the game thread I wish I was a fly on the wall at half time.

Whatever he said CNS came out with an entirely different team as far as focus. The O & the D just dominated.

I really hope Norwood is ok.

I think we force Marshall to try and beat us with his arm. I don't think he can do it. They may hit a few plays but they aren't going to beat us passing. I feel good about that game.

Agree with you. His team is poor without Mettenberger and he put him at risk for nothing.
