Geez, I hope they don't hold any bowl practices. Or does anybody care about that anymore.I'm not sure if I'm more happy that Bama is in or that ND is out (and acting like this)...

We need to. I can only imagine Oklahoma in mid-December.Supposed to be pretty chilly in Alabama next weekend so maybe we practice a little during that time.
Brailsford got hurt in that game, been on one leg ever since. I think a healthy Brailsford will help a ton. That and getting Dewberry back. He is physical.Yeah, everyone looked at the blitz packages OU used in the first game and they have been copying that. We have two weeks to figure out how to negate those blitzes.
As unlikely we - or anyone - perceive it to be, imagine a non-conference champion 14-3 Alabama taking home this trophy after what just happened.
Heads would explode.
The guys have a chance, and that all that matters now.
If we're still doing morning practices we are supposed to have some lows near the teens and it will freeze all the way to the coast as of right now. Would be a good time to take advantage of it.We need to. I can only imagine Oklahoma in mid-December.
We significantly outplayed them a few weeks ago if not for the turnovers. Duplicate that game and protect the ball and we win by 10-13Why are so many confident Alabama can beat Oklahoma? What about the match up favors Alabama? Not being an Eeyore, I'm genuinely interested in the Xs and Os that make Oklahoma a preferred path for Alabama.
You Preaching the Word of the Lord good sir! When you have 2 downs to get two yards don’t throw three passes!!!
I totally agree with you, but at this stage of the season that may require five new offensive linemen. The guys out there are giving it their all. I don’t doubt their desire or work ethic, but it’s just a struggle on the field.Man, there is no other way to lay this out for Bama.......its going to have to start with our O line......if we dont protect the QB and dont have about 95-125 yds rushing we wont have ANY chance of winning the game. OU plays mistake free ball most of the time and lets their defense handle business.
He had enough time yesterday until we had to throw to get back in it. The plays were there early. Either he or the receiver didn’t make itYou can put Joe Montana or Tom Brady behind our line and they would look pedestrian. If we don't fix the line I don't care who you have at qb it won't end well
I rewatched that game .. Ty was accurate in that game. He has been completely off recentlyTBH, I'm surprised we got in after the way we played yesterday. But I'm glad we drew OU in the first round. We beat their socks off the last time we played them. If not for multiple mistakes and turnovers, we would've won. I'm confident this time we won't beat ourselves.
its not going to be same game plan ... Ty is different than that Okl game and he has been helped in the crapshow by OL and receivers.Sooooo…….will we do anything differently as far as game planning is concerned this time around? Perhaps we’ll have the same plan, just with the codicil of “ Hey! Don’t give them the ball ! “ We have NO running game . We know it. They know it. I can’t imagine we’ll discover one in two weeks if for no other reason that we won’t suddenly discover 4or 5 O linemen who can play consistent, winning football. I would suppose that our running backs won’t get much more than a passing glance. Can we make them pay for that?
Thought I an article where Coach DeBoer said a lot of the squad would be having finals starting tomorrow, so light schedule the first day or so of this week.If we're still doing morning practices we are supposed to have some lows near the teens and it will freeze all the way to the coast as of right now. Would be a good time to take advantage of it.
normally i would agree but yesterday championship game showed their OL can hold against big boys. They did well at LOS. Their underrated receivers are outstandingBeing a big nfl fan I’ve seen playoffs that make zero sense. But when you look back they make perfect sense. Usually the team that wins it all has great defense and a capable offense that gets hot in key moments. I think it’s not so far fetched to think Alabama could be that team should they beat Oklahoma.
Keep in mind this…
- Indiana just did something they haven’t done for 2-3 generations. It’s going to be feeling that they can’t help to get drunk off of. Last time they went to the Rose Bowl was 1968
- Mendoza is going to win the Heisman and it’s going to be another distraction with interviews and all that.
- they have no idea who they are playing while both Alabama and Oklahoma know full well at who they are playing.
- this is going to be nearly a month off for Indiana and everyone is going to fall for the trap of expecting the same performance that they showed against Ohio State with which ever SEC school they play.
- plus you have Christmas
- bama and Oklahoma being in a game prep routine is going to be a huge advantage for the winner.
I think Indiana is 1 and done. I’ve just seen this too many times

Roll-outs, shovel passes, outlet passes. Our OL isn't going to magically get good at pass protection, so use our guys' mobility.
I don't think it's so much that we feel confident about Oklahoma but who would you rather play other than maybe the G5 teams? I don't want to play a team that has an explosive offense and most seeded higher than us do. We have to play on the road so I want to play somewhere where we have a decent chance to still be in the game in the 4th quarter. Why are so many confident Alabama can beat Oklahoma? What about the match up favors Alabama? Not being an Eeyore, I'm genuinely interested in the Xs and Os that make Oklahoma a preferred path for Alabama.
