****Bama vs. TAMU Postgame Thread...****

You can tell they definately worked on it. Different play schemes ( a lot of pulling, which A&M had trouble with) and they did a great job picking up any blitz.
I wasn't surprised that they got better. I was surprised that they didn't gash them for more yards. That pulling play was killing them. Their blitz with us was only effective once and AJ was able to get out of the pocket and throw it away. Any other time we either protected and ran that bootleg and had an AJ to OJ moment.

Ryan Kelly pulling from center was very impressive.

Big props to AJ's leadership.

A&M couldn't have had a better start to get up 14-0, while we did the same thing as last year our first few touches. C. Jones made a mistake bringing the ball out and/or not following his wedge on the kickoff. Then the offense makes two penalties in the first drive. Terrible start!

Down 14-0 in a hostile stadium and AJ does the stuff of legends.

CNS said so in the post game interview on ESPN.

I agree, this is why I would never trade AJ for anyone. He has the confidence that will win games in a tough situation. He is truly a special player.

One last comment from me about Manziel - he is impossible to prep for because of his ability to keep plays alive AND his passing accuracy. Setting aside what I think about him personally, the guy is a fantastic player. He delivered on the big stage, again. The only criticism I have on the field is he needs to work on his tackling.

Anyone know why Steen was replaced by Kellen Williams during the important drive in the 4th? Or were my eyes playing tricks on me and it never happened?

Pretty much sums up my thoughts too bamacpa. Had heard so much in the last months about when Saban has time to plan for a game he is masterful and Gary/Verne yesterday playing up how Saban had 9 months to prepare for this game. Someone had quoted Finebaum too saying that Saban had called in other resources and pulled out all the stops trying to devise a scheme for this game, that he had never prepared harder for a game. Then they go up 14-0 and I'm thinking, "know that? just throw all that out the window. You CAN'T prepare for this guy because half of what he does is unscripted if not inhuman," so it's "fly by the seat of your pants" the whole game. But you know, Saban's not too shabby at in game adjustments either.

Don't think we're allowed to post rumor until something is official. What bothers me more is Norwood. According to Eli he was taken to the Texas A&M dressing room where all their good equipment is. Later in the broadcast Eli said Norwood was carted out of the A&M locker room to the Bama Locker Room. Would like to hear something official here.

Too early to put much faith in accuracy of polls but if TAM is as good as ranked then I'm finally realizing how huge this road win is regardless of the points given up. I feel even better this morning than I did last night. Bama won't see an offense like this again but will likely face some tougher defenses, especially defensive lines.

There are close games every season. Last year Bama won 2 and lost 1 that could have gone either way. Even though Alabama built a comfortable cushion during this game label it as a close game and Bama is 1-0 so far this season.

Just so glad we don't have a high profile game after an emotional win like this. This game last year obviously was the next game and bit us bad. Next week we get the Rams and then on to another big game in Ole Miss. Should give us time to gel and get that much better both physically and mentally.
