A win is a win is a win. Especially in that building. I'm happy to see we played much better in that second half.

It only gets tougher from here. South Carolina is a tough team that is somewhat playing for its postseason life. Texas A&M should be a win. And then we travel to LSU. But if somehow we win out... 21-10 is not bad at all. I think even a 4 seed is still within reach.

We talked some about the final 8 games after the first KY loss. Most posters were good with a 4-4 split but if they can pull off a 7-1 (right now) or 6-2 (maybe drop LSU or USCe) it would be an excellent close to the season.

Here is the thing about this team. They can reach the Elite Eight or they could lose to SE Missouri St. in the first round, haha. Hard to get a bead on them.
It's been the theme all season but there is no clear alpha leader on this team. Without that steadying presence we never know which team will hit the floor not only game to game but minute to minute in-game as well. So frustrating at times.

If we simply hold down the fort at home to close the season, we are 20-11. A 20 win year, against this schedule with what we lost from last season, is a continued step in the right direction. And that would be especially true if we can do damage in the tournaments.

Going to LSU is going to be really difficult, because we know how they are. We know the refs are going to be influenced. We know LSU is seething with an inferiority complex against us and it makes it worse that we've taken them down 4 or 5 times in a row now. It's going to take a really strong mental mindset to go in there and get a win.

If you look at the teams that have beaten them, they tend to be older coaches with a lot of experience. Outside of the two debacles in Missouri and Georgia

Calipari, Petino, Pearl, and the old guy at Davidson all crushed us with bigs.

Gonzaga has bigs. But they play out quite a bit.

I think we will do better than most believe. We could even surpass last year. But I believe we make the sweet 16

Another interesting stat, turnovers were about even 18 to 16 in their favor.

However, they turned those into 32 points vs 18 for us. We need to do better there.
Yes. However, the majority of both our turnovers, and their points off them came in the 1st half.

I think I remember we had 12 TOs turned into 21 points for them in the 1st half. They really did play a much better 2nd half.
