We talked about Milroe tipping plays last year with his stance, and I believe we are still tipping plays. It seems like other teams know exactly what is coming. It's either that, or our execution is awful. Of course, I suppose it could be both. Either way, we have a lot of work to do just to look competent on offense again.

No I can't tell you. Was Ty supposed to move to the right? Looks like it could also be some confusion about the play on the line. A number of things could have happened.
Also, Looks like the motion back was open going right to left though for a quick slant.

- that was Bama fandom in the early 2000s. I, too, remember Bryant subbing the entire offense on occasion, it was actually kind of weird to watch. Still, back to current events, it would be refreshing to see Mack or Russell step in for a series or two, especially playing Oklahoma a second time. I know, it affects timing, rhythm etc. But any resultant Tide success would definitely affect the defense plans/execution. Make them coach in the present.
I'll say thsi: if Ty is hurt to the point he can't run/roll out or throw the ball effectively he needs to sit. Not because I don't like him and not because I think Mack or Keelon will come in and magically do better because I don't.
My concern is the young man's health and I think the coaches and doctors could explain this to him in a way that it won't wreck him mentally.

Unless Ty can magically heal up or improve, the offense will continue to look bad. It isn't all on him, but he isn't really helping back there. If he's hurt, make the bold call. OU has very little tape on Mack.
I can't say for certain since we don't know the line call, but since both the OG and OT slid protection in one spot, it appears they both realized that blitz was coming and correctly adjusted, but that Brailsford did not. I know that 'officially' he's given up the fewest pressures on the team, but stuff like this (maybe not to the same degree) happens pretty often with him where he just leaves a wide open gap and doesn't seem to be on the same page with the guys around him, no matter who we have in there.
I'm a big fan of Ty and I respect him for waiting for his turn to lead the Tide. The first half of the season he greatly exceeded my expectations. But we need to play the guy who currently gives us the best chance to win. Is Ty at 70-75% better than Mack at 100%? I don't know but I suspect not. Especially if Ty is injured and playing timid. I keep thinking about that busted play where the back went the wrong way and Ty slid down 5 yards behind the LOS. That was just weird. Makes me think he's injured and avoiding getting hit. You're not going to get very far in the playoffs with a QB who is playing timid and in pain.
The good news is that CKD and CRG have two weeks to figure out who should be our QB and to put together a gameplan that maximizes that QB's abilities. They also have two weeks to figure out how to attack OUs defensive schemes. They know what we'll see - the exact same defensive scheme we've seen in the last four games. They're supposed to be "offensive gurus" so this is their chance to live up to the reputation.

That’s got to be what it is. What kind of coach would admit that the team he fielded has to be carried on anyone’s back? Plus it’s a big insult to other players who show
and up play hard. If anything, it’s the defense that’s carrying the team on its back.
