Link: Behind the back pass

That would really p*** me off if I was playing on that defense.

Definitely a pick 6 waiting to happen, and if I were playing defense on the next series I might have to take a roughing the passer call.

There are two standard replies on tidefans.

A. That was awesome

B. That was the most classless piece of crap I have ever seen.

A passing Statue of Liberty....not show-boating when the score is 13-0. Pretty ingenious if you ask me, it worked didn't it? I agree probably wouldn't be doing it more than once every 10 yrs cause it hangs up too much and would be taken to the other end of the field. Yet it completely fooled the secondary...

It's hard to tell from the film, but the receiver had to have been wide open anyway, with all that hang time. So throwing it over handed would have been the best way to complete the pass. It appears to me that there is absolutely no benefit to executing the play that way.

Meh, I was expecting something way cooler. That pass ranks right up there with my backyard football triple option play I scored on, with three man teams. The other D didn't really look confused, that dude was just wide open.

There was a day not too long ago when, if a player did something like that, he'd get his block knocked off and his butt chewed out for a while from the head coach.

Times have changed, I reckon.
