Betting Line Going Back towards Ole Miss

I tell my betting buddies that every year, Vegas gives gifts to bettors, this game is one of those " gifts". if you over analyze this game, you will go nuts. Alabama is the more talented and stronger team. forget all the other variables and so called " experts" predicting the outcome of this game. lay your money down on Bama and walk away. period.

Last I saw was Bama at 6.5. I wonder what really changed it back to 4.5.

It fluctuates with how people are betting. If it's going down then people have been taking 'Ole Sis and the points. Odds makers don't want everyone betting one side because they could wind up having a very bad day.

Vegas sets the line only to get equal money, betting each way. It has nothing to do with who they think will win. It is strictly a bidnis, and their only goal is protect their bottom line.

I am just wondering who in their right mind is taking Ole Miss and the points???? Has to be alot of people to bring the line down 1 1/2 points. I just don't know how Ole Miss can stop Bama's offense, load the box, get burned by our deep receiving core, Play nickel, get gashed by our backs. Same teams as last year, except we upgraded on the OC. Am I missing something?

Some supposed, "Insider", with a website, is making $500.00 for his "Lock of the Year", and he's pushing the Blakes Sim's injury. Incredibly stupid people are paying the money to get his opinion of "bet on Ole Miss", and it's driving the line down..
Tomorrow night, they'll be crying. But what's sadder---they'll pay the same guy the same amount, the next week, for his, "Lock of the Week"!
Why? Because an expert is, " a guy in a pin striped suit who lives more than a hundred miles away".
Sad.

Ole Miss has major distractions this week like they have never had to deal with.

Ole Miss cannot run the ball on our defense.

This has the makings of a blowout Bama win

I will admit that I am worried that when Alabama's offense take the field, it will be Jake Coker leading them... Why would Saban tell Old Miss if Sims isn't going to be able to play? On the other hand, I think there's a pretty good chance that Jake can lead the team to do this job if he has to. :)

Saban said he hasn't had any issues with his shoulder this week?

Why the line is swinging toward OM? Bettors like home dogs for one. I heard a professional sports bettor say if you took only home dogs , you would end in the positive for the year. I also saw a stat that Bama is 1-6-1 in their last 8 games vs the point spread. Those two together are probably why the line is only 4.5 . If you want another reason, some may still be skeptical of Blake Sims health , especially in light of injuries to AJ and GMac that were downplayed during their days at the Capstone.

Also, Phil Steele picked Bama, but he said his computer said OM will win. I find that strange, as the ESPN FPI computer only gives Bama a 54% chance of winning, although Bama is FPI # 1

What kills me is that ALL the history crap has ZERO bearing on tomorrow. It's like comparing one college team with last year's team as to how they will play. With all the new players each year it is almost impossible to guage. At least CNS gets that which makes me feel a lot better.

I think the FPI stuff still includes last year stats for another week or so. That would way overweight OM's win at Vandy. And probably underrate us against WVa and Florida.
