I fell victim. Not that late though. When I was 46 and recently divorced I started dating a 21 yo waitress at a local bar. She was a very attractive, albeit damaged young lady. After a couple of months of power drinking and a Million “dude” ‘s (that was the saying, like bro today with the young’ uns) I came to my senses. That was almost 20 years ago.
Do you still have her number? Asking for a friend.

Yeah, a good buddy of mine did this for about a year after his divorce. 44 years old, wife left him for another man, etc. Guy was devastated and honestly probably needed counseling and some meds to help him. But he turned to a 22-year-old girl, and she was obliged to go on the ride with him. It lasted about a year. It was a year of nothing but straight-up debauchery that, according to him, dang near killed him. He finally came to his senses, ended it, got his life back on track, and ended up getting remarried to someone his age. He's been happy ever since. The crazy thing is, you would think in recalling that year, he would tell you he had "fun". But that's not what he says. He said, though he was having great sex (anytime he wanted it), getting to live without any commitments or obligations, doing whatever he wanted, he was completely unhappy. The things we think would make us happy...

My prediction: disaster

of course, it could go the other way and they pull a Prime move, clean house, sign top athletes from the portal and win the NC next year.

But, I don't think he's going to tolerate much of the shenanigans college players exhibit. And that academic stuff is gonna have to be limited.
” And that academic stuff is gonna have to be limited.” Much more than it already is ??

UNC did almost lose their accreditation a few years back (they really should have lost it) because they created what amounted to fake independent classes that players could take and get credit for just about anything.

They just gotta figure out how to do the same thing in 2025 without getting caught (like Belichek did during spygate and deflategate). Here's hoping that CBB's team is thrashed soundly at every opportunity.

I worked at UNC during this period when they had the African Studies classes and majors- one of university's arguments with NCAA and accreditation was that the classes were open to all students and not just athletes (which was technically true). It sure did seem like a popular major with the football and basketball teams though.

When I was at Va Tech, two older NCOs (late 30s, early 40s) were watching the pretty young ladies walk around campus.
One of the NCOs mentioned how great it would be to have a relationship with one of these young women.
The other (the wiser of the two) said, "What would you talk about the morning after?"
I went away thinking (besides the creeper factor), "You know, that is a good question." When I was in my late 30s/early 40s, I had nothing in common with a 20-something. Music, literature, life experiences? Nothing.

I have no idea what Belichick talks about with this woman.

This reminds me of the young girls in the years after the Civil War that would marry the widowed Civil War veterans (both Confederate and Union) to draw their war service pensions when they died. This lady (she passed away in 2020 at age 101 and is the last recorded widow of Union Civil War soldier) was 17 when she married the 93 year old Union Calvary veteran in 1936….primarily to draw his $30 a month pension when he died. It was not an uncommon practice back in the day.

Considering Coach Hoodie is worth an estimated $70 million, Jordan has taken it to a new level.
