Roll Tide my Alabama brethren and sisters!

A buddy and I are headed down to 'Bama early Thursday morn from Northern VA. He took me to Columbus for the Ohio State-Texas game and its time for me to return the favor by showing him some fine SEC football action and how Alabama folk live and breath football. And also to show him some southern hospitality.

I think I have our game plan figured out for Saturday....leave my parents house in Jasper around 0630, get breakfast, and probably roll into T-town around 0900. I do have a question about the stadium.....We have awesome seats on the 40 yard line, behind the 'Bama bench, I think in the 17th row. I want to bring my 35mm camera with zoom lens. Will I be able to bring my bag inside the stadium or should I just take my camera and lens separate?

Thanks for any and all responses.....ROLL TIDE!!!!!

I'd love to hear this response as well...

I've been asked to not bring a camera into BDS. As a matter of fact I had to leave a disposable at the gate. When the game was over, I found the disposable in a box near the gate. I beleive most that bring them sneak them, is this true?

Items Allowed

On ROLL TIDE . COM On the game day central link cameras are not prohibited. hope this helps , i envy you guys who will be at game .Give Em Hell Alabama.OH I'm not sure about camera bag but still cam is allowed surely the bag would be . GOOD luck

Cameras ARE allowed...

Inside the stadium as long as they aren't video cameras and as long as they are not "big". I checked the back of my tickets and it said that video cameras are not allowed. I also checked RollTide.com and it listed cameras as an allowed item. I've posted the link below.

BTW, I'd recommend leaving the camera bag in the car.

CrmznApklps, several years ago cameras weren't allowed. I think it was after 9/11 and the following year.

Bryant-Denny Gameday Procedures

I sat in U2 at the Florida Game and about 3 seats down from me was a lady with a very nice and LARGE camera outfit. She was taking photos of everything. There is no way she snuck it into the stadium, the lens was about as long as my forearm and at least the diameter of a CD. Unless she had special circumstances (which I don't believe she did...she was with husband and child) it shouldn't be a big deal. I hope you get some great photos of Phil whining and crying!! Your buddy is in for a treat! Roll Tide :)

I always take my camera into the games. Security usually ask that you turn it on. I guess a working camera can't also have explosives.
(As a former E.O.D., I know better)

Re:

The stadium folks don't really like bags of any kind. When I bring my digital camera, I just bring it in my pocket in a clear ziploc in case it rains.

Jealous. Wish I had bought and ticket and could hitch with you guys [I'm over in Annapolis]. Have an awesome time, and show him what Bama's all about.
