BamaNation, this part of your argument doesn't hold water. How bout let's throw some money at education in this country and save ourselves some money for new prisons by putting Americans back to work. Think about what could be accomplished with the 250 million that G Dud is putting into his campaign. That could sure go a long way toward helping out some American Veterans who've recently had their services and pay cut. Your argument is just as tired as the old Bill Clinton blow job story.

The things that will fix education don't cost much money. These things are involved parents, enforced standards, and good textbooks, which cost about the same as the bad textbooks.

Put Americans back to work! Boy, doesn't that sound great! How you gonna do it, Spot? Please give specifics. BTW Dontcha know the unemployment rate has dropped from 7.3% to 5.6% on Dubya's watch? I would think that you would approve.

$250 million for his campaign? Where did you get that number? It's about $104 million (and growing). And that's money donated by private individuals specifically for campaign purposes, not for veterans services, which haven't been cut, another myth/lie from you. There was discussion of cuts in these services, but discussion was all it was.

I'm not allergic to criticism of Dubya, far from it. However, I grow weary of these "Bush is Satan" style attacks I see both here on Tidefans and in the national media. I want honest criticism, not a bunch of made-up, exaggerated flimflam.

I benefit as a middle class citizen because of Bush's tax cuts. The tax cuts add about $40 a week to my household which, with a future Tider on the way helps alot.
I benefit when tax revenues are increased to the federal government. Tax cuts have proven that that happens. It is basic economics. That $40 a week that is added to my household is then spent at the store to buy more things for my future child, for yardwork, which I have been doing all weekend and etc. You multiply that by the millions of middle class citizens you add billions of dollars to the economy. The more added to the economy creates production increases. Production increases creates jobs. More jobs create more revenue. Simple minds don't grasp that so that is why the Dems like to use the phrase "How are you going to pay for tax cuts?" when in reality you add revenues. Tax cuts pay for themselves. Just pull up the IRS records after Reagan, Kennedy, and Eisenhower passed tax cuts. Fact is, everytime revenues went up.
Another reason that Bush provides is freedom to Iraqi's. For the first time ever in Iraq, women are able to work and vote. Iraq's new Constition was signed over the weekend that provides for that. It even allows for women to hold positions in the new Iraqi government. Wouldn't have happenned if Gore or Kerry were President.
I am not the biggest Bush fan but he has done much more right than if Kerry or Gore were President.
Kerry voting record speaks for itself. Insane. He has never introduced legislation and voted against the military every opportunity. He wants our military to serve under the U.N. People forget that it was under the U.N. that we didn't go into Bagdhad the first time, that the Rwanda fiasco took place and Kosovo. I don't want our troops to answer to someone who does not have our best interest at hand. The U.N> does not as evidence to how their oil contracts was worth more than human life. How they were ask to step in before 800,000 people were murdered in Rwanda but ignored the warnings. How it was asked to intervene i Kosovo but did not until it was too late more many.
I could go on, but I feeel that it would be just a waste since you probably won't even consider what I already have said.

Hmmm...If prior voting records, and what John Kerry has said publicly (which I realize is a slippery slope, since he says one thing, votes another and then votes against his first vote) are any indication, then I am reasonably sure what I stated will happen. John Kerry has voted against every weapon system. John Kerry thinks terrorism is a law enforcement issue.
I can't rely on GWB to stop spending like a democrat, but I can depend on the fact that any terrorist act will be dealt with swiftly and with overwhelming military force.

We tend to be a little more lax on this forum than the others here on Tidefans.com.

However, certain policies are still in effect and will be abided by.

I understand how discussions like this one can bring out personal feelings: even the pundits on TV have a hard time controlling their emotions.

HOWEVER, as much as one may disagree with another parties stance you won't see them calling each other "ignorant."

It's a very simple process to disagree with anothers viewpoint and refrain from sinking into the mire while saying "you are ignorant."

It's time to excercise some restraint.
