Bush Credibility Issues

i'll be glad when/if Bush loses just so i don't have to hear any more of the bashing.

it's so trite.

hurry up and get GW out of office so this country can get back to what it's best at... soaking up scandals.

there's been a drastic decrease in the number of sexual encounters in the White House and the word is, the Dems are upset.

who needs maintenance of world stability and nuclear weapons negotiations when you have a fresh crop of interns and some baby oil?

Wow, those are some truly great responses... first rate guys!!!

Did it ever occur to the conservatives that Bush is not doing a good job??? I have seen a few right-ers in here say they were not happy with Bush's spending, but other than that, all these Bush supporters seem to "believe" that he has done no wrong... which is truly a sad state of affairs... like our country...

And the obvious Clinton bashing is so stale even a bum wouldn't touch it...

I think that page just proves what true conservatives believe about liberals:

They (liberals) think that all problems are solved by throwing money at the issue and if you decide to "cut the money" you are against something.

We can see how well throwing money at welfare has solved the poverty problem.

Meanwhile the liberals want to eliminate tax cuts "for the wealthy" (who by the way should be defined as anyone paying taxes). This is a surefire way to make sure the economy tanks and more people go on welfare and have to rely on gov't handouts to get by.

Go figure.

Now, now F-keats, my man.

I just can't help it. Behind the scenes at "YOUR" party must be like living life at the Simpsons set.

Like I've told some of my ball teams, I don't get ****ed if you strike out, I do if you take strike 3. At least Bush is swinging the bat, not lounging on the team mom!

Throwing money at welfare is only to provide the appearance of caring for the poor. In reality it's buying votes. Keep them uneducated, keep them poor, and give them money, then call Republicans racist and wealthy.

If fk's post was true from a credibility standpoint, it still would not make want me to vote for a Democrat, it would just make me want to vote for someone even more conservative then GWB.

"Did it ever occur to the conservatives that Bush is not doing a good job??? I have seen a few right-ers in here say they were not happy with Bush's spending,"

Umm, the "right-ers" are unhappy because he is spending too much. Your post lists areas where he's cut back on spending. You just gave them a whole list of reasons to be happy.

old arab saying, "there is no man more valued than he who gives his people victory in battle".

we are still at war and we need a president who has the cajones to wage that war with the intent to win. Kerry has said he would leave the matter of national security to the FB1. that alone is reason enough to send Kerry back to the ketchup factory.

Hard to take serious someone who doesn't understand economics enough to believe that tax cuts hurt the economy. Just one of the reasons you can't take that sight serious. Buffonery. Oh yeah, according to Kerry I am rich. I should go down and buy me a Mercedes and when they laugh at my income I'll simply reply, Hey, I am rich. I received a tax cut and you know that only the rich benefitted from the tax cuts. If you don't believe me just ask Kerry. He will vouch that I am rich."

What the lib's forget is that even JFK himself held the philosophy that tax-cuts would help fuel an economy.
Our gov't has become a body that believes they can spend our money better than we can. People are falling prey to the Social "In"-security and the Medi"don't"care system.
I'm 34 years old and have talked to plenty of older people who've told me that what this country needs is what the Repubs. started in 1994. Get people off welfare; put them to work. If they don't want to work, let'em STARVE! That's pretty simple. You give a man an inch and he'll take a mile. That's exactly what this country's welfare system has done.
Why not give the "wealthy" a tax break? Dadgummit, they're the ones providing many, many jobs in this country! Look at Bill Gates. Not only is he a billionaire several times over; but he's helped several men and women become millionaires through Microsoft! Why in the world should he be taxed for giving others the opportunities to gain wealth, too!
People can believe it or not; but this country STILL gives a man with "want to" the opportunity to make something of himself/herself. But as long as things like welfare and other social systems are in place, people are going to continue to stop using their minds and abilities and suck the taxpayers dry because they don't see the reason to TRY ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree.

Is there even one example in the history of civilization of a country with an overly powerful government that benefited the people? I don't believe there is, but there are many examples of strong governments taking advantage of the people to the point of forcing the people into poverty and the country out of existence. You don't even have to look at history to find countries like this, just look across our southern border.

f-keats

If you want to vote for the treasonous, "toy boy", knock yourself out. The rest of are voting for President Bush and his eight year tenure will benefit us all.

It's going to make your "toy boy" cry though!!!

Yeah, next those damn Democrats will be buying votes from the elderly with a short term health care solution that will ultimately do more harm than good.

Oh, wait...

jthomas666,

Many republicans were against the Medicare reform. If a Democrat had signed off on the very same legislation you would applaud him.

The health care problems go well beyond Medicare. All solutions that don't scrap the entire system from welfare, medicaid, Social Security, private insurance, Medicare supplements, prescription prices, etc. are short term. We found out the hard way that these are all horribly intertwined.

We also experienced firsthand the cost of prescriptions for the elderly. After what my wife and I have been through I don't want to hear any BS from you about Bush buying elderly votes or anything from Conservatives about how it was not necessary. When your income from SS is only $750 per month, and your Blue Cross Medicare supplement is $150, and your prescriptions are $800 per month after Medicare and Blue Cross paid their parts, I would say a change is necessary. If you can't do the math that's -$200 per month. My mother in law paid into Medicare and SS for 40+ years. A lot of good it did her. By the way, talk of the prescription drug reform began when Clinton was still in office. I know because I was hoping it would pass quickly. Unfortunately my mother in law died before we could reap any benefits.

On rare occasion politicians sometimes pass laws that benefit people. Just because this was passed by a Republican does not mean it was bad. It helped a group of people that the Democrats supposedly care very much about. Apparently you only care about their votes and you're afraid this will cost you some, otherwise you would be thanking GWB for assisting the nations's elderly.

Brilliant article. Keep it coming Fosterkeats. These guys are all a bunch of ostriches with their heads up their sand. They give praise to anything or anyone standing up like Pharisees and using Christianity and it's values as a platform and then turning around on his fellow humans with lies in his mouth and avarice in his heart. The Dems did just fine with Bosnia and they didn't bankrupt the country in the process. If you actually would go back through Fosterkeats' article and read the damn thing you would have enlightened yourselves on why getting rid of a bald faced liar and a greedy little bow legged despot should be our number one priority.

If you are going to bring up Bosnia, you should bring up Somalia too. Neither will help your case. Bosnia is a prime example of the failure of the UN. The war criminals were caught and convicted but it was too late. The ethnic cleansing had been achieved. If that's doing "just fine" I don't want to know what you consider bad.

Somalia

Yes, I am glad you bring it up.

It is a perfect example of how demoncrats run a war.

Our country has waged two wars under President Bush....quite different results wouldn't you say!!!
