Before he went the "legal" route, he contacted the Bush family and threatened to expose them if he was not paid nearly $1M...TommyMac said:NYBF,
Where do you see any attempt at blackmail? All I see is a group of shady people, consumed by greed, trying to capitalize on a young man's athletic abilities, with the young man a willing accomplice until he found a better deal. The guy left holding the bag found out that there really is "no honor among thieves" the hard way. Then he got a lawyer and is trying to recoup his loss through legal means. Blackmailers don't operate through attorneys and lawsuits.
Agreed, but it chaps my hide to hear people talking of this agent like he is an honorable man. He is far from it...TIDE-HSV said:Any "scum" involved falls equally on both sides...
Here is one of many quotes that I have heard regarding the blackmail...NYBamaFan said:Before he went the "legal" route, he contacted the Bush family and threatened to expose them if he was not paid nearly $1M...
Cornwell, the Bush family attorney, did not return phone calls to The Associated Press, but in an interview with the Times he accused New Era of trying to extort millions from Bush.
"We identified their scheme months ago and collected written evidence over the course of the months," Cornwell said. "And we provided that evidence to the NFL Players Association and NFL security."
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in a statement Friday, "Based on the information presented by Reggie Bush's attorney, our office has advised the attorney to consider referring these matters to law enforcement authorities."

These Bush like other Bush. Need to be drag through streets of Baghdad behind fast camel. Same for crooked, coward agent. NCAA will swoop down like desert eagle and punish these criminals. Saddam say it is so.

USC officials are investigating whether an upscale apartment that wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett shared with former teammate Matt Leinart violated NCAA rules, according to a published report Sunday.
Leinart's father, Bob, put the duo on the lease at the secured apartment complex downtown after Leinart moved out of his former residence near campus because he was constantly hounded by fans.
Leinart -- the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback picked 10th by the Arizona Cardinals in Saturday's NFL draft -- and Jarrett each paid $650 a month for the apartment that cost $3,866 a month, according to the Los Angeles Times. Leinart's father paid the difference and said he's been told Jarrett might have to repay him about $10,000, the newspaper reported.
