Jeff Tedord is a west coast guy, has built up the Cal program from literally nothing , is having/has had new facilities installed there, is adored in Berekely, is well-payed, and there is no reason he would ever come to Alabama. It is a pipe dream.

Maybe Duck is right, but he would be a great hire. He will always be number 2 (or worse) in California, so there is no harm in gauging his interest. It is also rumored he is waiting for the right NFL job.

He's done a great job at Cal. He runs an exciting offense. He might even be willing to keep our defensive staff in place. Why isn't he being more highly considered?

I agree. I started another thread on this before I saw this one. Tedford is high on my list and I don't think Mal has considered him. He might very well be as good of a hire as RR and could probably better utilize our offensive personnell.

You're in panic mode. Propst might get an offer from UAB. Has Bama sunk that low? No way. Plenty of fine college coaches left on the board.

after the way UT absolutely manhandled them last year, i just can't see him as a realistic option. to be so completely unprepared for a game of that magnitude (cal was ranked quite highly with NC aspiritions) is a real turn-off.
