I think we can, and that's a bit odd, cause in years before when we had supposedly "better" teams I wasn't that confident, I'm actually fairly confident that we have a real good chance this year. I can't think of an SEC team that is clearly better than us, in Steele we've got the best player in the league bar none, a good inside game with JD and RH and and an emerging wing game. I actually like our chances when in years past I was a bit more pessimistic.

Yes, we can win, UNLESS we get VANDY early in Nashville! That is my biggest fear....

Looks like we'd get the winner of Vandy/South Carolina, right? Not a good matchup for us.....either way......

I think regardless, we are now in the dance!

Other than a sloppy game against Auburn, Bama is playing as good as anyone in the SEC so I like our chances.

Bama is the West #2 after a bye we will play the winner of East #3 ( Ky or Fl) vs West #6 (Au, Ole Miss or MSU)

We would play the winner of the E3/W6 game. That game will likely be Kentucky vs. Ole Miss. Playing Kentucky in Nashville will be difficult. The Gaylord Center will be a sea of blue.

One factor...

to always keep in mind is being careful what you wish for. Winning the tourny with seven guys will take its toll. That toll could show up in the first round of the NCAA. Other than the glory, we'd be playing mainly to raise our seed by one. I've always had mixed feelings about it...

Bama can do it. But using only 7 players, winning 3 games in 3 days will be rough.
Ronald Steele playing at least 40 minutes a game, 3 games in three days, is just too much. His legs would be gone and slow to return.

We all want them to win the SEC and do well in the NCAA, but regardless, these guys have shown a lot of heart. Considering their start, and the loss of players, they've done better than a lot of people thought they would. Really proud of CMG and the whole Tide team!

I opened this thread to pretty much say what TIDE-HSV said. A win on Friday and a close loss on Sat isn't an entirely bad thing. We're going to need the rest. Hopefully, we can get in the 7/10 game instead of the 8/9 in the NCAA and play a 2 in the second round instead of a 1.
