I'm sorry maybe it's just me but I do not expect to see DC on the Bama sidelines, only so much coaches & parents can do trust me I have been both, stoo a parent of course.

A young man just has to get it either from teaching or learn it the hard way.

I have a son who now knows daddy knew a few things about life.

I'll say again what I said when so many ran with the rumor he was done a couple of weeks ago... When you hear it from CNS, then you can write him off.

That's too easy to do! We want drama especially when there is no need for any!

Not sure how sorry you can feel. You are the one that gives your kids the values for them to live their life. If there is something missing in that for Duron --- usually you can look back at something "DAD" didn't do. Not saying Cris is a bad guy. But perhaps he failed to instill some humility and humbleness into his son. That usually comes from a lack of time together......

His father had some rough patches growing up, include me in the bunch as well. But we both turned out o.k, or at least Cris did ha ha.

College:
Prior to Carter's senior season, he secretly signed with notorious sports agent Norby Walters. When the contract was discovered, Carter was ruled ineligible. The absence of Carter in the 1987 offense contributed to a disappointing 6–4–1 season and the firing of Coach Bruce.

Pros:
Shortly after, Carter had a falling out with coach Buddy Ryan and was a surprise cut following the pre-season. Carter later admitted that Ryan released him because of alcohol and drug abuse, large amounts of ecstasy and marijuana being his drugs of choice, and credits his former coach with helping him turn his life around as a result.

For the next 11 seasons, I would say after he was 24 years old, Cris excelled at Minnesota and it's looking like he will eventually be selected to the HOF. He has been denied a few times but I think he wil eventually get in.

My point is that this could be genetics over parenting. But if you trace the genetics it could just be an adolescent issue. A teenager mentality in a mans body with a lot of pressure.

Not necessarily. I think we all know people who had more than one child. One was very productive in life and the other got into alot of trouble. Same parent or parents, brought up the same but had different results.

I've seen it with my own eyes. Same good parents, both children treated the same and one goes to jail while the other becomes a decorated vet and eventually a very successful business man.

DC was in street clothes today. He's missed a fair portion of spring training already, and this thread is a temptation for rumor mongering (and judgmental posts).
