True. I was thinking of the Greg Littles, guys who have been committed for a while. They'll get tons of spin from OM, and probably knew about it before we did. I certainly HOPE that it affects this year's class, though.

This could get pretty interesting real quick, as far as the recruits are concerned. Bet the Ole Miss spin cycle is about to burn out because I imagine their phones are ringing off the hook from calls from recruits and families.

Alabama has seen 17 kids head out of state while Mississippi has seen 16 head elsewhere with the possibility of a few others. Seems like LSU has some luck getting kids from the southern part of the state since it would be closer than State or Ole Miss for many.


Considering Ben Davis has been considered a Bama lock since his recruitment started, no one would consider any shady happenings. Mack has been seen as a Bama lock even with the Florida talk. Analysts have continued to say "He likes Florida.... But I still see him at Alabama."

The thing about Mississippi kids - they can give every indication they are heading to Alabama or somewhere outside the state, yet end up going to Ole Miss or State at the very last second. CJ Hampton and Tony Conner are two perfect examples.

One big difference: Alabama has won big in recent years (4 NCs) and has a Huge tradition, And the Barn has even won a NC recently (so kids have a reason not to leave the state)....what has OM or MSU done---Ever?

Ben Davis was going to Bama the day he was born.....(if that is where he ends up-LOL).

All signs say that OM had very good weekend with their recruits. NCAA had very little effect and OM either reaffirmed or took over the lead for some Bama targets.

Really do hope we have the big finish many seem to think we`ll have. I have a queasy feeling, I must admit, concerning that if we`re counting on the head-to-heads with Ole Miss to make that happen.

Surely Ole Miss isn't buying anybody now that the NCAA is investigating them. I would love to see Bama with Knott, Simmons, and Brown from MS.

Seriously Flyer? It's going to be all good. We will most likely lose some head to head but our class is going to be amazing and possibly #1 so take some Pepto Bismol and relax.

lol!!! I just read on BOL , sources in Mississippi are saying that OM didn't have a great weekend as anticipated . who knows??

btw OM staff David Johnson just CB Knott to Bama. he is the biggest homer on any 247 staff and rarely concedes anything to Bama. lets see what happens.

That's good news and we will know for sure in 30 minutes. If we get Knott to join Davis crossing the state line who knows what will happen with Simmons, Brown and Lashley.
