Cecil Hurt Article

That Cecil Hurt knows how to put pen to paper doesn't he. Coach Kines should get a job in administration when the new coach fills his coaching staff at least. He loves Bama football. He deserves that.

I really believe Kines bleeds crimson. "Best job in America" I wouldn't be surprised to hear him saying it's the best job in the whole world. Or is that redundant?

Nice read. I'd like another next year- with more wins of course. Oh, and another NC to wave at the barn! (While I'm typing my wish list.)

Rader also alluded to an Alabama mystique that still lives, no matter how many times it has been pronounced dead in recent weeks.
Not only would I like everyone to read this, but especially some of the SO CALLED FANS!!!
That flame still burns in the Alabama team. It may have to be refined, and condensed back into the blowtorch intensity that it takes to win in the Southeastern Conference. But it doesn’t have to be reignited. No matter how people have tried to douse it, it hasn’t entirely gone out
.

Thanks, Cecil!!

Wow! Just plain WOW! With all the cynicism and complaints and disappointment I have had that article really really meant a lot to me. With all the junk and bad press that we have received in the national media that was nice especially from people who are there. I will be emailing it out tomorrow to a lot of my fellow fans.

One other thing. It would have been real easy for Cecil to pile on, "Oh Bama fans are delusional.....Alabama is not what it used to be....etc etc" but I think he caught what I think. We are just that one ingredient away. That one piece that will fit.

Cecil is correct. Heck, if I was a Div. 1 caliber Football Coach I would work for 75K a year just because it is Alabama. However, there are elements of the "old guard" that are killing it and that is what needs to be fixed.

Very good read. After the initial frustration wore off, I hope CJK stays as DC because he has the respect of the players and has done a very good job with the linebackers, which at the very least he should be retained as the positions coach for LB. I hope we can get somebody who has the same passion for Bama football, even if they are an outsider, and not someone who is looking for a stepping stone into the NFL or another college.
