They have got to re-work the bracket deal and stop giving light weight teams a bye for winning a weak conference. OSU now has to play Oregon again, and out west again. Two of the better teams are having to play each other, while two weaker teams get the easy road.

Have to play them eventually. Win or go home.

Tenn has historically floundered on the big stage - almost every time. The one exception in ‘98, FSU was badly crippled at QB down to their 3rd string by game time. Anyone who watched the awfully played game was not impressed with either team. But good fortune was on their side that year affecting multiple games.

Having said that, IMO, OSU is the class of the field. Only Ryan Day, apparently a fine man, can get in their way. I felt they were mistreated by the CFPC. At least they got the home game. If they win it they will deserve it having traversed the toughest road.

The hate was real and visceral in the late 90s and early 2000s. Rest assured, either way it will continue.
