A: Folks who live outside of Texas...............maybe Oklahoma.
This standard operating procedure, at Bevo U.
And it has nothing to with race. It has to do with Texas being Texas. They think it should have been a name as big as all of Texas itself.
And someone the big cigars can slap on the back. Coach February, nice guy he may be, probably hung on longer because he had the support of that crowd. He played their game, and not talking about the one on the field. Anyone who won't play it is in for a rough ride.
It is going to be an interesting 3 years.

I wish they would have hired Jerry Jones so he could bring them same type success as he did the Cowboys when he started coaching them after Johnson left. 
Then maybe you're giving for the wrong reasons or with the wrong expectations.
It's a donation. You aren't buying company stock that gives you voting rights when you give to a university.
You wouldn't - and shouldn't - have a say unless you're on a committee that allows you to have a say. Not happy with a hire or what is happening with the program? Quit donating money.
Red McCombs is like a lot of "self made" business men who think because they were good at one thing they must be good at all things. He said he was a team player but then used his mouth to prove he's really not.
"Sorry Charlie" this is what you're walking into Brother..Dang sure didn't take long for the big money folks to open up that can of Texas "arrogance"..LOL..
If they were smart they would give Charlie all their support, cause the man can flat out coach, and most important, he can flat out recruit, he will get the best talent in Texas, that's the most important issue at hand right now..Texas hired them a really good Coach & he will get the job done..

They would find fault with any coach that took the job..except Saban. Sad to be this negative and the season hasn't started.
Exactly..And when Charlie wins big, I bet Red McCombs will be the 1st one that goes to the press & says something like "I told y'all he was A great hire"..LOL
