CNS buys a home in Florida

I had heard a few months ago he sold his home in Boca and bought one in Jupiter Island, but had no idea it was that expensive. It looks great. If I win the lottery, I plan to buy a beach home. Maybe I will get one near him instead of around Destin as I had planned. :)

Saban may have gotten tired of seeing Dabo on Boca when vacationing.

Didn’t he lose a bunch of money in an investment a few years ago?
Yes, if I remember correctly when he renegotiated his contract in 2013 (after the Texas “drama”) one of the things done for him was to pay off/help with some bad real estate deals. Of course I defer to the “insiders” but I remember a few posting saying as such.

IIRC the investment property was bought out by boosters to help CNS out when something went sideways with the deal and he was going to lose big.

Saban had players out on the water this summer again, so I'm assuming they still own their house on LB.
Doesn't he also have a nice house on Lake Tuscaloosa in Alabama? That may be where he takes the team. He paid $2.5M for it in 2013.

Where are there photos of the Jupiter Island property? I can't find any.

Yes. It’s nice. I’ve driven by it. That’s where the recruits go. I’m pretty sure he didn’t really have to pay for it. Lol. I know someone who has been inside it a few times and he said it’s really nice.

That blue and white decor is indeed hideous. But it can be changed pretty easily. Still, if I had $17.5M to drop on a house, it wouldn’t be that one.
I'm sure Miss Terry will have it decorated to her liking. LOL. I don't like the outside look of the house. The inside is too much white for me. I'm not a white decor person. But it's a great location. Spend a couple more million and tear down the house. Then build another.

If I am spending that much money on a house I am building from scratch. Everything is new and I can decorate it the way my wife wants.

Well, if you want to live on a piece of property like this you're likely going to spend this much (or more) then knock it down to build what you want. There's almost certainly no undeveloped land available similar to this property.

yeah, if I had tons of money, I would buy for the land and not the house. I would tear it down and build a house I designed.

There is a fair amount of that happening here. Demolition of old home and rebuild. On my street alone and right on the Intracoastal there are several in progress, all previously owned by friends of mine, who cashed in when the timing for them was right.

Same situation as @crimsonaudio described. Virtually no undeveloped land left.

🤷‍♂️
