You know, this seems to happen more and more these days. Maybe coaching at a blue blood is not as attractive as it use to be. The pay is so good across the board these days that you just don't have to go deal with the pressure of the "UK"s of the world to cash in your big payday.
Plus, having to deal with the one and done players who are just using them to get to the next level.

NIL has essentially undermined blue-blood status - any school with a decent enough program and enough cash can buy the coaches and players needed to compete with anyone. I suspect the next decade of BBall is going to see a lot of 'new blood' in the EE and FF.

So glad Oats decided to stick here. I think he's just scratching the surface of what he can accomplish here. That Final Four run was magical, but Oats was pretty ****ed afterwards. He wants more.
