Went on the Auburn website. Scary I know. There was a meeting at Valley in August, and Pat Dye was there. Still, I wonder why it took so long for this to come out if it really happened. Aubie was there too. I wonder if he threatened to claw anybody's throat out.

And if it did happen the "media" member just needs to hold on to the tape and wait for some hush money to come his way.

I thought it was football season. I thought obsessing over crap like this was what the board did in the offseason.

The post that started this thread is similar to many I've seen on Barn boards detailing with pseudo authority stories about the misconduct of Bama coaches, boosters and associates.

I don't really care whether this happened or not, but I would like to see real evidence either confirming or disproving the story. Not that I am a Pat Dye lover.

Agreed. Don't like Dye, but I notice that our original poster has just disappeared.

I haven't disappeared...I am not able to stay on a message board all the time...I still stand behind my post and if anyone does not believe me, well that's their perogative...Personally, I have nothing against Pat Dye. I just have a problem with someone representing Auburn University presenting themselves in this way.

The area's local newspaper was there and reported nothing on this but if you want to call the paper and ask and see what they say you are more than welcome to: 334.644.8100 Wayne Clark was the Valley Times-News represenative that was there.
