My Predictions. Really not scientific.

Tuberville to Texas A&M
Les Miles to Michigan
Weiss to LSU
Callahan to Auburn

I would really hope that Tuberville and Miles would stay around for a while but I guess that is just wishful thinking.:biggrin2::biggrin::biggrin2:

I think you are 1-4.

Here is an Aggie fan that doesn't think Ears is the right fit. He has this deal pretty well thought out it seems. Wonder if he has any pull?

Too old, expensive; Will he last until 2018?

Auburn's Tommy Tuberville (on track to win SEC 1 time in 9 tries) and North Caronlina's Butch Davis are too old and are on the downside of their careers. It would be like adding Barry Bonds to your payroll -- all press and no pop!

Wrong Guys: The media and perhaps Billy Byrne is interested in Tommy Tuberville, but I have yet to hear a single Aggie in Texas express interest in hiring a coach over 50 years old, who has already proved themselves as a great coach, with perhaps their best years behind them. Guys like Tommy Tuberville, Barry Alvarez, Steve Spurrier, Butch Davis, Mike Sherman, R.C. Slocum, Jimmy Johnson and others are closer to collecting social security than still being in Aggieland 10 years from now [much less bringing us a national championship]. Others like Gary Kubiak might have a "big name" but frankly lack the personality for recruiting and accomplishments on the field to be worthy of consideration.

Gary Patterson to A&M

Chris Peterson to UCLA

Barry Alvarez to Nebraska (I think Cowherd mentioned this today and thought it was interesting and definitely possible).

Miles and Tuberville stay put.

Not sure who will take Michigan's job.

But, the biggest question is, of course, who will replace Saban when he leaves to go back to LSU? ;)

Tubberville to aTm

Weiss will stay put, ND finishes between 4-8 and 6-6 next year.

If Dorrell finishes with less than 6 wins or less he may be out, great recruiting class or not.

If Arkansas loses their last 3, Nutt is out.

Callahan is already out.

If USC loses out, Spurrier may just quit.

Georgia Tech needs to finish better than 6-6 for Gailey to keep his job.

If Clemson loses out, Bowden will be gone.

If Pitt loses out, Wannstedt is out.

If Wash. State finishes with fewer than 4 wins, Doba is out.

Everyone thinks tubby to A&M but i say watch out for Nebraska! Could A&M be another smoke screen? They may sneak in an snatch him up.

If I were a coach A&M is more alluring b/c of the natural talent base in state. Nebraska has a bigger name, but also higher expectations (I still can't believe a 9 win average/season coach was fired). Tubby would have a lot of money at either place and more stability at A&M and a stronger recruiting pool to pick from, even though UT and OU get their share of TX talent.

Great Danish, it would be one of my fondest dreams if Tuberville and Miles stay where they are. Miles would soon bring down LSU and Tuberville would see what it is like to play Bama fully stocked again.:biggrin2:

Interesting take and actually makes sense. Coaches always aspire to win championships. Why would Ears leave a school with relatively the same make up to go to another just like it. You're never gonna win big at schools like the Barn or aTm on a regular basis.... and when I say "win big", I mean playing for conference and MNC's on a regular basis.
The opportunity to lead a traditional national power like Nesbraska would be too hard to pass up if I were a winning coach looking to go to the next level. That's where I would go. Like Bama... the name alone has recruiting power.
Do I think Tubbs could do the job at UN and win like they are used to???... No, but that's where I would want to go if I were a coach with any aspirations of winning big.

Paul Johnson to Nebraska

the problem with Paul Johnson to Nebraska is largely perception. Nebraska hired Callahan to recruit big time QBs and WRs to get away from the big, slow, white boy, run up the gut three times brand of football. The perception when looking at Johnson is that he runs that exact brand of football. Folks don't always realize that he tends to run an offense suited to the kind of players he can get. I think he would run a more open attack if he was at a school that recruit those players, but he may not get that chance because he runs the option at Navy and did at gsu. I don't think, however, that they did when he was at hawai'i.

Its funny how that big, slow, white boy, run up the gut brand of football won NU 3 NC's in the 90's. I'll bet the fans would love to see the '94-'97 style of football being played at Nebraska right now.

ECU coach Skip Holtz to Nebraska...since we're throughing out names...he could go to ND if Weiss gets canned but that's not happening.

nut you are beginning to sound like dabaxter. :biggrin2: Seriously Paul Johnson would be a good fit for GA Tech if Gailey gets the axe since he coached at GSU and would still have recruiting contacts in the state of GA.
