I really wonder if Dee can come back (again) with all the RB prospects coming in. I hope he does. This guy could've gone anywhere coming out of high school and he chose Bama. I hope he knows we're all pulling for him.

I know! He said don't believe the rumors that were out there, he was going to be fine. Unfortunately this isn't a rumor now.

I don't think he was carted off like White. He might have been optimistic about coming back after a couple weeks. Then the MRI confirmed otherwise.

I worry about the loss of those three. I think I'm worried the most about Dee Hart in that this is the same thing two years in a row. Forget Alabama for a moment. What does this do to him personally? The determination, hard work and mental toughness he went through to get back on the field this year. All that to happen AGAIN! Can the young man handle such adversity? I sure hope so. Then with all the new RB's coming in next year.....what does this do to him and his future?
Brodie can certainly identify with Dee Hart right about now. He spent most of 2003 injured, worked his tail off to come back healthy for 2004, only to step wrong and tear his ACL in the third week of the season.

It did seem an odd way to be injured: calling for a fair catch and just stepping the wrong way. Yes, that would be a big concern regarding surgery and going AGAIN through the rehab process. Hopefully, he will be able to contribute in the future. Hang in there Dee!
I think it had to do with the field being a little wet from the earlier rain. When he went down he knew what it was. He hit the ground with his hands while waiting on the trainers.

Other than Ben Howell, we have two other players listed as RB's. Blake Sims and Trey Roberts.

I wonder if Brent Calloway may get a shot at RB.

I doubt Sims moves. Seems like backup QB would be more important for depth than 4th or 5th RB.

The concern, from a football standpoint, for Hart is that he might just have bad wheels. Remember Brodie blowing out is ACL on a routine cut...almost the same thing here for Hart except his looked to bend inward...maybe ICL???

I know that some people are just blessed with better joints and ligaments than others from a hereditary point of view.

Hope it's just two freak accidents and he bounces back next year!!!

BTW, is the 25% of the season the regular season for a medical hardship? Is is based on plays played, games played or what?

Is there a major problem with the south end of the field? We seem to always have more issues with footing on the south end of the field than we do on the north end.

I say use Calloway. He has experience as an RB and would hopefully provide some depth in that position. This is Kenyan Drake's time to continue to step up and make the best of his chances.

I agree with Calloway. While most of the team gets a semi "break" from practice and such I have a feeling Yeldon and Drake's week just got busier. It was mentioned at some point that they aren't as polished on their pass blocking. We know how hard and how well they run. Well boys, hope you learn pass blocking real fast. We have to have them do so if we're going to make any kind of run. I don't think Eddie can do it all by himself former injury or no injury.

If I remember correctly Hart actually walked from the sidelines to the tunnel.
I was at the game and I can confirm that Dee jumped up and jogged off the field. They took him to the training table for about 5 minutes then he walked back to the locker room.

What I have been told is that when a person has their ACL repaired it no longer has the same feeling as it did before. If he reinjured the same knee, it is possible that to Dee it just felt weird.

This is horrible. I hate losing players to serious injuries. Not only does it negatively affect the team, but I really like these kids and hate that they have to go through this.

Hart also walked back to the field with seconds left in the game. He was still in uniform and wearing his helmet. I wish them both well in recovery.

I hate it for the kids more than anything. Especially Dee who seemed to be making an impact this year. He's has had a lot of hard luck.

I am more concerned than ever with our RB depth. We have a starting RB with a lingering turf toe issue, Yeldon had not been explosive so far, Drake looks really good, but can he pick up blitzing LBs. Do we have anyone on scholarship that can contribute in a meaingful way?

Dang it..I hate hearing that..By the look on White's face as he was being carted off pretty much told how us bad it was..In slow motion with Dee's injury just looked bad as well..The angle of it going down was awful..It give me that sick feeling in my gut..His tweets after the game gave us hope..I was fearing the wost & hoping for the best..Injuries happen in football..It's just the nature of the game..It's just part of the game you fear the most & pray all players makes it through the games injury free..
