I really think we've been very fortunate in regards to injuries the past few years. Here's hoping we can overcome this as a team.

Hate to hear this for both of the guys, especially Dee being lost for the season two years in a row. Hope the rest of the team can stay healthy for the rest of the year.

I feel bad for both. Do I think it will hurt or season. No
I don't think you can lose 2 solid contributors and just assume that it won't impact the rest of the season. We have now lost Fowler, Hart, and White. That's not good at all. I'm not saying we can't overcome this and that others can't step up. But we can't assume that it won't have any impact on the season.

I feel for both of him. I know how sick I feel about now. I can't imagine their thoughts. This is big time adversity.
We can't afford to lose anymore backs.

Who can be moved to the backfield? I thought of Blake Sims, but they need to keep him as a back-up QB. Who else is available to be behind Drake? Is there anyone else on the roster that can move to RB?

Other than Sims, we only have Howell and Trey Roberts listed as runningback. Maybe Howell will step it up and get his chance to play more.

I worry about the loss of those three. I think I'm worried the most about Dee Hart in that this is the same thing two years in a row. Forget Alabama for a moment. What does this do to him personally? The determination, hard work and mental toughness he went through to get back on the field this year. All that to happen AGAIN! Can the young man handle such adversity? I sure hope so. Then with all the new RB's coming in next year.....what does this do to him and his future?

sucks hope the guys recover quickly and fully.

now before anyone panics here keep calm, While you hate lose anyone WR is arguable our deepest position, at leas one we rotate a lot, though White is one of our few experiences possession receiver types. Dee is a unique part of our backfield, but we've spent 5 weeks talking up our deep RB core, and most teams would kill to have any of our top three guys.

Let's count our blessings that Stinson and Belue will both recover, those two would have been harder to replace for the year.

injuries create adversity but thats something Saban is pretty good at working with.

This makes me think back to 2004 when we lost Brodie, Ray Hudson, and Tim Castille within the first 4 weeks of the season. Although, that was a different time and certainly different circumstances (low numbers due to scholarship losses), you just can't help but think this will have some sort of impact. Our bye week could not have come at a better time.

What is weird is that last night on the news they were saying that Hart had posted on his Twitter account that he was fine.

I always enjoy your posts, Poke...

Has anyone heard how long Stinson and Belue are supposed to be out?

It did seem an odd way to be injured: calling for a fair catch and just stepping the wrong way. Yes, that would be a big concern regarding surgery and going AGAIN through the rehab process. Hopefully, he will be able to contribute in the future. Hang in there Dee!

It goes without saying that my positive thoughts and well wishes are with Dee and DeAndrew.

From the football side, however, this is where all that #1 recruiting class business comes in handy. Injuries are a part of the game. And we've actually had stars to emerge out of necessity because of injuries (e.g. True freshman Nico Johnson filling in for Dont'a Hightower). So now the onus is on Kevin Norwood, Kenny Bell, Chris Jones, and Amari Cooper to collectively replace White's productivity. And as far as the backfield is concerned, where we'll probably miss Hart the most is on pass protection. He was ahead of most of our backfield from that standpoint which is why he was our 3rd down back even when we had a completely full stable of backs. So now Yeldon and Kenyan will have to work extra hard to learn blitz protection schemes and learn it fast..

Before the season started, I said that we could withstand injuries at any position except QB and OL. So far, that's holding up, but goodness knows it's wearing thin. So here's to a completely healthy season from here on out.
