We have a society of people who literally never stay off the internet, their phones or a tv feeding their political appetites. It is a constant IV of emotional feeding of the mind and body. People like this become sick-minded, distorted, and lose touch with reality. Even those who don't end up doing what this guy did still walk around our society, literally in a constant state of hate and anger toward people who don't have the same political beliefs they do. That's what we've become. We can't unplug, and it's producing sickos.

I blame the 24/7 news networks. They are in business make people angry - because that creates viewers for their sponsors. They make money off it.

I never regret cutting the cable about 15 years ago. When I'm around a TV that has one of those networks blaring, I feel like taking a sledgehammer to it. Nothing but angry noise.

I watched the video as well. It was disturbing to say the least. I’m certain he is dead. I hope he’s not but I don’t see how he survives that.

Straight up I like Kirk. He’s a smart guy. I know many of you on here don’t like him, but we’ve crossed the rubicon as a nation some time back. When all you do is call your opponents racists and nazis eventually a crazy person will believe you. When someone is accused of being Hitler or Hitler adjacent what will the reaction be eventually? I’ll tell you what it is. It is what happened to Charlie and what almost happened to Trump. There is a reckoning coming and it’s going to be bad.

Groups like the SPLC are partly responsible for this. This "Americanized terrorism" cannot be allowed to continue.

Supposedly some old man who has been arrested. Looks like he was shot in the jugular. Praying he makes it but doesn't look good.

BBC news said earlier that the older man with white hair was detained for something else.

The Shooter was from a rooftop and is still at large.

I was wondering about that, initial reports had 200 yards away, I saw one that reported 200 feet. Reports were there was no security to get in, and only security around Kirk, so how was someone apprehended so quickly?

Looked like something more precise than someone pulling a handgun out and pulling the trigger. I am guessing someone was posted a distance away with some sort of long range rifle.
