Cox Status?

That's hilarious!

Well, after seeing all of the "Honk if you sacked Brodie" bumper stickers around Bham I can't say that I have not enjoyed the Karma in watching Cox on his back a lot this year. It is amazing how that sticker is not funny to them anymore.

The "poor mouthing" of AU due to the Cox situation plus injuries in their secondary started yesterday here in my office. The comment was even made that AU couldn't beat Florida International right now.

I seem to remember UA going into this game with some offensive injuries the last three years...

2003 - Croyle's shoulder injury
2004 - Croyle, Hudson, T. Castille all out for season
2005 - Prothro and JB Closner out for season

Oh well...:biggrin2:

I have a bad experience with my team getting it handed it to them by a back up qb. In the 1992 playoffs, the Houston Oilers had a 35-3 3rd quarter lead on the Buffalo Bills, only to see it washed away with the help of a guy named Frank Reich(Jim Kelly's back up). I know stuff like that rarely happens, but I still get an uneasy feeling about it. Not to mention that I can hear all the aubs bragging for years to come about a back qb coming in and winning the Iron Bowl(see Tre Smith circa 2002; I still hate that guy).

Reich was unbelievable off the bench. He led a similar comeback for Maryland against Miami. He holds the credit for two of the greatest comebacks in the history of football, but neither time was he the starting QB.

It all means nothing unless we beat them.
