DE Jadeveon Clowney

USCe, Noth Carolina, and you guessed it Bama. I hope he leaves with a good word for the good guys. RTR/RAM

I tend to think that Clowney is probably a South Carolina lean for now, but he is looking hard at the out-of-state programs.

The big thing to keep in mind here is that things could really change on this one. It's as fluid as it gets. South Carolina is probably where I'd put my money on right now, but honestly I don't even think Spurrier will be around by NSD, so that's going to be a massive monkey wrench. Likewise, Butch Davis does very well with DL's and if they finally break through this year and win the ACC, they are going to be a much more difficult opponent on the recruiting trails.

This one is just all up in the air.

That would be a huge pickup for us if we could pull him. I think we have a pretty good opportunity here, all you can ask for is to get him on campus at least once to make your pitch. This class is setting up to be a special one if we can hold on to all the recruits we have now and pick up some of the other great ones we're after.

I personally think its a N. Carolina / S. Carolina battle. However, getting him here to visit was big and we could really gain some momentum today.

Do we know if this is considered his official visit? I like our chances. If he is honestly open to going away from home, I like our chances. #1 players don't worry about depth chart or early playing time, because they know they have the ability to break anyone's depth chart for early playing time. That shouldn't be an issue. Once he sees Marcel dominate this year, he'll know this is the best place to develop into the player he wants to be. Playing for a championship caliber team as opposed to 2 teams who are astonished with a winning record.

ooooh that's cold brother. True. But cold.

I still like our chances here. Remember folks we have been in his top three for a while and he has never visited us. That says alot there. I would not be surprised we are his leader after the visit, but maintaining that will be the trick.

I fully agree w/ the bolded statement above. If Clowney ends up playing DE, he'll probably see Dareus end up in the first round of the draft next year. If he ends up at LB, he's already seen McClain go high in the first round w/ the possibility of Hightower to go early too. It seems that draft picks are HUGE selling points w/ these recruits.

Well the 17th was two days ago. Has anybody heard anything about his reaction? Was he hosted by other players during his visit? Any news about JC's recent visit would be most appreciated.

It seems Trent Richardson is mentioned in almost every recruiting article as a player the recruits typically hang out w/ and like. Looks to be a great recruiter for the team.

I am scratching my head about the Clemson writer saying that Clowney spent time with (running backs) coach (Mark) Ingram. You would think since Mark has won the Heisman they would know who he is.
