Yeah and far right Christian gun enthusiasts bombed the federal building in OKC…. It amazes me how much willingly ignorant hate people still have.
Well, technically Timothy McVeigh had gone from Catholicism to agnostic, but I do get your point.

Besides - this guy has enough ridiculous viewpoints out on Twitter in the hands of the hardest hitting political consultant anyway.

Zohran "little muhammad" Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York. He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings. Attached is my letter to @AGPamBondi.

MAGA at its finest
MAGA folks are ok with freedom, liberty and pancaks as long as they agree with the purveyor.

MAGA democracy is all about freedom, don't ya know.

Senate Republicans explore tweaks to pension plan after parliamentarian ruling
The GOP is considering hiking federal employees’ retirement contributions to 15.6 percent of their salary, according to draft text.

Senate Republicans are considering a tweak to their pension reform plan that would hike how much federal employees need to contribute to their retirement, in order to pay for the GOP megabill.

Lawmakers are looking to hike federal employees’ retirement contributions to 15.6 percent of their salary — compared with the 9.4 percent required in the initial version of the bill — while carving out an exemption for members of Congress and their staff, according to draft reconciliation text from the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that was obtained by POLITICO.

Federal law enforcement, including Capitol Police officers and border personnel, would also be exempt from the contribution requirements. Employees hired after 2014 are currently only required to contribute 4.4 percent of their salary to their retirement.

The draft text also newly exempts law enforcement personnel from a provision adding a 10 percent fee on union dues deductions.

So, let me get this straight. The Left is deeply onboard with raising social security taxes to help keep SS out of trouble but when they try to raise taxes for the Federal Government's version of SS then suddenly it's absolutely cruel. I swear, you can't make this stuff up.

Did you read the parts about the exceptions being proposed?

I did, but that's not what the outrage is about. That's typical Washington BS and it's not limited to one party. The outrage is that the Republicans even dare ask the poor, beleaguered government workers to contribute more to their retirement.

"Both sides" excuses aside, essentially cutting salaries by more than 10% is concerning and is only amplified by the selfish and unfair exclusions.

My goodness. The hate spewing from the Christian right my friends. We’ve seen this type of mentality before in world history, 1930s Germany. That’s what MAGA is in my book.

It will be an interesting midterm. They better watch out because they might be outnumbered in both the house and the senate and the Democrats actually will have the ability to pull off an impeachment.
They won't have the votes to pull off a removal, though.

A third impeachment - even on legitimate grounds - will be seen as nothing more than harassment.

They will try… but then again we are assuming that the Democrats don’t screw up the easy layups
I don't doubt they'll try.

I can even imagine a scenario where they try to persuade some Republicans that putting J.D. Vance in office allows them to hit the reset button and not turn the party into Trump's fiefdom.

But I can't imagine the GOP would sign on, either.

I don’t think Democrats can win Senate in 2026. And 2/3 are mathematically impossible

Environmental groups file lawsuit to stop migrant detention center in Florida Everglades
The state is building a compound of heavy-duty tents, trailers and other temporary buildings in the Big Cypress National Preserve, which are ecologically sensitive wetlands.

Environmental groups filed a federal lawsuit Friday to block a migrant detention center dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz" now being built on an airstrip in the heart of the Florida Everglades.

The lawsuit seeks to halt the project until it undergoes a stringent environmental review as required by federal and state law. There is also supposed to be a chance for public comment, according to the lawsuit filed in Miami federal court.

Critics have condemned the facility as a cruel and inhumane threat to the ecologically sensitive wetlands, while Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and other state officials have defended it as part of the state's aggressive push to support President Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration.

The law (and the environment) means nothing to Republicans.

They have a narrow window at best in the Senate. Nothing is "impossible", but it will be VERY tough. There are 33 seats up for vote, and the GOP is defending 20. The Democrats have to keep their 13 and take 4 out of 20 from the GOP. It's looking at the states that makes it tough:

Alabama (Tubs)
Alaska
Arkansas
Idaho
Kansas
Louisiana
Mississippi
Nebraska
Oklahoma
S Carolina (Lindsey Graham)
S Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
WVA
Wyoming

The Democrats have 10 safe blue seats, all in states Harris won. But first off, they have to hold onto three seats in purple states: Georgia, Michigan, and New Hampshire. And if the Georgia GOP can keep from doing something incredibly stupid, the Dems will lose that one at a minimum, meaning they now need ALL FIVE of the following red states to flip blue:

Iowa (Ernst may be vulnerable)
Kentucky (McConnell retiring)
Maine (Collins will be 73)
North Carolina
Ohio

If they can keep GA, of course, they'll only need four.

It's not impossible, no.
But it's not likely, either.

then again - when Tender Feelings gets his ego punctured, he may turn on whomever in the party in a fit of rage. The Dems best chance is a cratering economy along with a raging Orange Lunatic.
