Do we deserve a rematch?

out coached means that Miles came up some surprise or trick play and BAMA was caught off guard. that did not happen in our loss. Saban as many have said was either too aggressive or too conservative. however you want to percieve it. its up to you. but Saban and Bama was not out coached, Bama simply did not execute and went away for the most part our M.O. that made us successful. Bama's defense did everything possible to make LSU one dimensional. their WRs were pretty much non existent. Randle their main deep threat was held to 2 catches for 19 yards!! the LSU rushing game was pretty much check. Jefferson had the biggest gain due to broken coverages or the ability to scramble when nothing was available. the Bama D performed as well as I have seen them performed vs a highly opportunistic and potent offense. Les is 3-2 vs Saban and you think that he has his number??

WOW!! :conf2:

How can there be a thread on the front page entitled "Sadly, we were out coached again" and yet if I say we were out coached, I get my head bit off?

I hope I am not attacked for this, but I believe people should not react to ever post that they do not like with a thumbs down on the author. One poor guy on here has multiple from the same guy. Since you keep them for life (there is a tally), you should be reserved with them.

Just my opinion.

Plus one on that!

We only deserve a rematch if Stanford and Osu both lose. No two ways about it. Even then it's not really fair to Lsu. I know I'd be ticked if we had to beat them twice to win it all.

I'm still hoping for a Lsu meltdown. Can those bozos really keep it together? A loss to the piggies could catapult us ahead. Plus, Lester has never lost less than two times in one season. Plus plus, if they lose in the sec champ game it's not that much of a stretch to see us end up 1 or 2.

I think this is our best shot right now at any sort of championship, and I would be more than happy having a conference championship this year, if LSU falls to Arkansas and the two teams in question stay undefeated. We would be the highest ranked SEC team and go to Atlanta.......I think.

I am starting to get the impression that a one loss Oklahoma could end up the nation's choice to play LSU, If they win out and Okie St. and Standord both lose.

If you ask Bama fans, then the answer would be a resounding "yes."

If you ask any other fanbase in the nation, then the answer would be "no."

Do we deserve a rematch? No. We had our shot in front of the entire nation, and we choked. Plain and simple. The defense played lights out. I honestly feel we have the best in the entire country. But the offense didn't do near enough to help them out. The OT was flat out embarassing from an execution stand point.

I ask this time and time again, so I'm not singling you out by any means, but what do we care what's "fair" to LSU? Was it fair that we got the bad end of a bad call on the interception? Is is fair that LSU should have to play the team that is deemed to be the second best in America in the BCS championship? The system is designed to have the two best teams in America play, for all the marbles, regardless of who they are. If OSU and Stanford lose, there is a strong case we are the second best team in America.

I agree whoeheartingly. I would still be ticked to have to play them again if we'd had won. Also, I really don't like our chances if the sooners win out. We're better no doubt. But the computers love Osu.

Osu loses to TT or the sooners or both.

Stanford loses to Oregon and one other (ND or championship).

Lsu loses to the piggies or the sec champ game.

I see a lot of no's!!! That makes me sad. Doesn't sound like ya'll have much confidence in our team and that makes me sad. Who in their right mind wounldn't want to see those two beasts play again. The players sure do, and so do i!!!!!!!! Not because i am mad that we lost, but the fact that these two are the best in the country and the last time i checked the nat'l championship is supposed be the two best. So what all of you "no's" are saying is that we are worse than the second best team in the country and that also makes me sad. What a bunch of idiots!!!!

From the Alabama-Mississippi State pick the score thread. Kind of sheds new light on the whole rematch scenario.

Who's hurt and who's healthy? Who's 100% and who's 80%? I have no doubt the team will be ready, but we're banged up pretty badly right now. If Jones is able to go, If Dre can go, then we'll take care of business. If they're limited or out, it could get dicey. Such is life in the SEC, no matter how good you are.

I get why this thread was started......I also get why all the "No's" have been posted in response to the thread.....but here's the deal....it's not about some poetic-justice-type question about who deserves what.....the teams that make up the bowl championship series all play under the same rules that dictate who goes to the BCSNCG. If we end the season as #1 or #2, we go.

I, for one, am hoping we're one of the two teams playing in the BCSNCG. RTR!

Anything can happen in the last few weeks of a season.

Yes we deserve a rematch! If Stanford or OSU goes undefeated then they deserve a shot. If we all have one loss who would play a better game against LSU? There is no question that we are the second best team in the country ( by a small margin) IMO.

A rematch probably isn't going to happen. I just don't see them putting 2 teams from the same conference and the same division in the BCS Title Game. Even if us and LSU are #1 and #2 at the end of the regular season. I think that even if that is the case, they will find a way around it. Has there ever been a national title game, or for that matter, even just a bowl game with 2 teams from the same conference playing each other? Just my two cents. I could be wrong.
