In a dream world
I personally am not in favor of a rematch. Bama had their shot and didnt get it done. I'm just pulling for Bama to win the rest of their games and I would love for Bama to play Boise somewhere. I don't even care where.

I agree with what you are saying as far as the rematch goes. I said before the game regardless of who wins I am not in favor of a rematch.

If we are to have a BCS championship with the two best teams we will get a rematch, but I don't think it will happen. As you said we had our shot and did not get it done. Too many missed opportunities. Congratulations to LSU.

Sadly, unless Stanford and Oklahoma State, we don't deserve a rematch. We had our chance to beat them at HOME. If this game had been in Baton Rouge, maybe I would give it more thought.

No.

Even if we did play a re-match and won, what would it prove? We'd be 1-1 with LSU on the year, and if we can't even pull it together enough to win at BDS, then we absolutely don't deserve another shot.

What happens if Arkansas beats LSU?

What if the SEC East champion beats LSU?

There's still a month of football left to be played and a lot of weird things can happen.

Do any of you honestly feel like any other team on the board has even an outside shot of winning against LSU? I don't and I don't *think* that's just the homer in me talking. I honestly think we're the only other team capable of playing at their level and beating them. Frankly, I like our chances in a rematch. So, yes, I feel like anything short of a rematch will end up being a complete slaughter of both LSU and Bama's opponents and will end up making for a really boring BCSNCG.

No, but as one who sees the BCS as a farce anyway, I hope we make the game and win by 3 in 1 OT. Then let's see the arguments for why there should not be a split championship, a circumstance that renders both results meaningless.

But there is hope in the other red A beating LSU. OU is going to kill OK Stare. Then let's watch everyone try to explain which head to head loss doesnt really count.

No, not as long as there is another undefeated team out there other than LSU. I agree weird things could happen but BSU is pretty much a shoe-in if Stanford & OSU drop one and if LSU makes it through unscathed. BSU has an easy schedule from here on out and while you might get some voters that might pull for a BAMA vs. LSU rematch over a BSU vs. LSU game, I really doubt it would happen. Most likely you'd be looking at BSU vs. LSU if everyone else drops a game.

Boise is far from a shoo-in. Many think they won't have enough BCS points if there is a 1-loss SEC team still out there at the end.

I think Arkansas has a decent shot at upsetting LSU. Over the past few years, the Hogs have been a thorn in LSU's side. Petrino will make it interesting.

It's tough for any team (other than Boise State, thanks to their pathetic schedule) to go through an entire year undefeated.

If LSU and Bama are the top two teams in the country when it's time to place bowl participants, we deserve a rematch. This may be one of the few times that I completely agree with Craig James.

Right now, I believe that we're the top two teams in the country. Ask me again next month.

We had our shot at LSU. Boise beat UGA, which may be roughly equivalent to Arkansas. Other than that, our schedule isn't much more impressive than theirs. If OSU and Stanford fall, Boise should get a shot at LSU ahead of us.
