CNS offered Forston early but it looked liked he had no interest in Alabama and that he would sign with Miami, Florida, or FSU. I took him off the Prospect List for not showing any interest in Bama. Now that appears to have changed and he is back on the Alabama recruiting map.

"I don't have any favorites right now," Marcus Forston said. "I'm just going to take it to the end. I want to see who really wants me and who's gonna stick with me. I just want to play ball. My dream is to play in the NFL and that's my main goal." Forston will be attending camps at Florida on July 20 and Florida State on July 21. "Both Florida and Florida State have great fans," he said.

Marcus Forston, the 6-foot-2.5, 305-pound five-star defensive tackle from Northwestern High School in Miami, Fla., has 29 scholarship offers, but says he's not moving closer to making a decision.

Forston, ranked No. 9 in the Southeast overall and the nation's No. 2 defensive tackle by Scout.com, still denies a leader, but is considering Miami, Florida, Florida State, USC, LSU, Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame. All of his favorites have offered as well as North Carolina, Tennessee, Auburn, Nebraska, Minnesota and several others.

There was nothing in that article that made me think we had a chance. I hope he atleast comes for a visit so we have a chance to change his mind but after reading that i would have to say it's gonna be hard to pull him out of Florida unless your USC or LSU.

I don't disagree with this assessment, but I think there will be a day soon when Bama won't ever consider any recruit "ungettable". We've been down so long, without championships or really scaring anyone in the SEC, that we feel we are not one of the "hot" schools for recruits. However, I think that changes beginning this season.

Agree, PT, I have a gut feeling this season will turn some heads. It will be hard to pull a recruit from his hometown (Miami) but we can certainly help our chances on the playing field this year.
Bama will be a "hot" topic this football season and success will make a believer out of a lot of recruits.
