Great job Eddie. Bama would have easily beaten Clemson in the 2017 National Title (illegal pick game) if Eddie and Shaun Dion Hamilton had not been injured. Those were great Bama players.
the thought of a possible 3 straight title in the modern era still haunts me and I'm sure most Bama fans to this very day. what if...

Sorry, but they've made a huge mistake. Here's the NFL.com combine snark on him...

Long, but lanky and not built for a physical pounding. Grab and drag tackler. Will do what he has to against the run, but he's not going to be a tone-setter with his hitting. Dominant defensive front made his job in coverage much easier. Had some easy, no-brainer interceptions float his way on overthrows. Can get too cute trying to stay glued to the quarterback's eyes rather than triggering towards his boundary help over the top. Will occasionally lose track of his deep ball responsibility. Has had two major injuries in his career that will draw plenty of attention at the combine.

Turns out if you just draft him onto a team with a great defensive front that relaxes his run responsibilities then his nose for the football to become a difference making skillset. Who could’ve known just letting him do the same thing he was great at in college would work in the pros?

NFL scouts sometimes act like the prospect will be the only player on the football field. Yeah, of course they’re good at some things and not others. That stuff isn’t real scouting...that is just message board smack with some truth in it. The point with evaluating players is having a dispassionate understanding of what they can and cannot do and whether those things can work within your scheme.

I’m sure the Bears looked at it like: “he’s not a safety that will be a plus in run support but our scheme and personnel does not need that as much as they need ballhawks who can run down bad balls forced by front line pressure.”
