Fast and Furious

Ingram sat down for an interview with CBS last week during which nicknames were discussed for him and fellow running back Trent Richardson. Ingram rejected the first few he heard but stopped when "Fast and Furious" was suggested.
Does he like that one?
"We haven't finalized it yet," said the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner. "I've still got to talk it over with Trent. That's the best one we've heard so far. We definitely like it. I haven't heard any much better."

Not much for cheesy two-guy nicknames but I kinda like this one....

As long as the keep performing as well as they have been, I wouldn't care if we called the grits & gravy (that actually could work if you think hard enough about it...).

Gary Danielson requested that members of Paul Finebaum's audience send in suggestions for the nickname, and he would give that person credit on air during the broadcast. I guess since they used Wolfson's, someone lost their shot at a moment in the spotlight.

GD explained that he had come up with "Meat & Potatoes" because as he travelled the country, that was always the "sure thing" menu item at any unfamiliar restaurant.

My idea (which I did not bother to submit) was "Death & Taxes." Gary Danielson started the broadcast by saying something like, "You know the old saying that there are no certainties in this life. Well, these 2 backs are the closest things you'll ever find to a sure thing..." I started yelling to my wife, "They're gonna name em Death & Taxes! They're gonna name em Death & Taxes!!" Alas, it wasn't even one of the finalists. :frown:

I say call Mark "Fast and Furious" and Trent "Fast and Furious #2." After all, there are multiple Fast and Furious and these two are very similar.
