Final Four Postgame and The Off Season Thread

Bama finished 3rd in the Final AP poll, 4th in the Coaches poll (UH at 3rd). I assume this is our highest finish ever (the Rocket 8 finished 5th in 1956).

Well they made Clark a villain for almost the entire year so this would be the year for it to happen.

The women's game was on over the air TV, ABC, the men's game was on cable, TNT.
Depends on your personality. Some people don’t like her because of all the coverage.
This plus the huge amount of free advertising because ESPN/ABC had the games. Women's BB was in your face for 6 weeks every time you turned on any ESPN network. It was nauseating.
It was a non-basketball watching, over-40, audience, who also watch the Super Bowl every year regardless of who is in it.
Some people enjoy an incredible movie. Others only focus on the continuity issues.
I watched the women's final for the first time ever to see if Clark could shoot them to a championship.
She couldn't even though she scored almost every point of the 1st quarter for them. USC adjusted and pulled away after that with their talent and "big woman" who is 6'7".
It'll probably be my first and only time to ever watch outside of Bama getting to that level.
It's just so hard to watch. The girls are good and no respect is meant, but it's just like watching a jr. high football or basketball game compared to watching Alabama play. It just doesn't interest me.

Yep - it is a bad sports product. If you want to see a solid women's sports product, watch the women's pro volleyball which started this year. It is on YouTube. Very entertaining and most of the best players on the world are playing.
Hey CB, glad to hear you are mending well. I had a similar thing three years ago - left coronary, 90% blocked - but in my case the doctors thought bypass would be better than stent. Had the bypass and have been doing great ever since. Glad to hear you are improving. Get well and stay well!
I can say I wasn't one of those for either. Lack of interest in both. I didn't watch the men's because I didn't like either of the teams.
The guys game didn’t start til 9:30 eastern time on a Monday night with one of the teams playing being an eastern time zone team. I still for the life of me can not figure out why NCAA likes playing their basketball and football championships on Monday night especially if you gonna start after 9:30 pm. It one thing starting at 8-8:30 but 9:30 ridiculous. Then Monday even worse you can handle a late Thursday night because just one more day but to start the week with late night. You basically are telling younger kids on east coast to F off because they have school next day. If you want to build popularity you need younger people interested. Then throw in the game was on cable tv compared to regular tv and streaming services like Fubo that don’t even carry Turner stations. I had to do a free YouTube tv trial to watch the game.
To me it’s men’s basketball in molasses. The guard play is horrible. Many can shoot. But usually it’s because its uncontested
