From what I read the school refused to enter his name into the transfer portal due to a 2 year revenue sharing agreement that the big 10 apparently requires players to sign?

Revenue sharing hasn't started yet and is contingent on the house settlement being approved, it still hasn't been.

And by enrolling at Miami, Miami is at risk of breaking ncaa tamelpering rules if he is part of the team.

My gut feeling is Wisconsins argument may actually hold up here.....But I'm no attorney.

how is this even possible? Why would a player even enter the transfer portal If this is true. Back channel a contract, unenroll and enroll in a new school, anytime you wish. No portal, no window, no worry. Seems the NZAA would have language in bylaws and contracts that prevents this.

Next year we will have a short 10 days transfer portal window, but players can now ignore it and just enroll with the new school. Great new system

Suddenly, the players grabbed all of the power. . It has become the NBA. I’ll keep posting, but i have watched 3 playoff games, didn't watch semifinals and have no desire to watch the championship game. I don’t even know what date it’s on. My interest in this sport is quickly fading.

Used to watch a guy come along - Eddie Jackson is a great example - who would screw up and learn - and become a superstar by learning. Now, it’s “well, if I’m not starting I’m headed to your rival.”

When more time is spent covering who left which team to go to another team, we have an out of whack sport. Back in the day, when an NCAA investigation went on any school was going to get hammered like Alabama or SMU or USC, stories only dropped every couple of months regarding the most recent update.

Nowadays, so many guys are changing teams so quickly that I don’t even have time to process one before I hear about another one.

I never liked it before when the story was what went on off the field, and I like it even less now.

It may be time for the two big conferences to invoke the power-play and nuclear bomb every other program out of existence.

Here we have, yet again, a failure to uphold one's word. Absent any other available info, I'll comment that the dude signed an agreement, got his feelings hurt somehow (or got a better offer at Miami) and now wants to forget his name was in ink on the rev share agreement.

Assuming these are the facts, for the sake of the entire college football world, Wisconsin needs to take this to the nth degree to enforce the agreement. (and once their rights are confirmed, boot the kid to the curb). Other schools should contribute to their legal defense of this. They absolutely do not need to cave.

IF there are other "facts" in the case then those certainly affect my interpretation above, but given the lack of any real journalism discoveries here, I'll go with what I first stated.
