We didn’t appear to adjust to the wet field very quickly in our last bowl game.
It will be the same for both teams. I think it favors Bama with our QB being more familiar with the offence. FSU's QB as a transfer may not be as well versed in the total package.
Agreed with Valley View that the field is the same for both sides. Hopefully, our equipment folks will have packed proper footwear.
Tangentially related: It doesn't look like the combination of heat and humidity that many of us (including me) were concerned about will be a factor.
According to the Weather Channel, high on the 30th is forecast to be mid-80s, partly to mostly cloudy. Chance of rain 24%.
Yeah, it's 8 days out, so things can change. For now, it doesn't look like weather will be a factor.

Shows a 81 percent chance of rain in the morning. Temperature in the low 80s. Im sure they have been practicing in very wet conditions so ky question is HAVE WE? Something tells me no.
DeBoer said they have practiced with wet footballs with soap on them. Hope they also practiced on a wet field and have the correct shoes on Saturday. Bring in the helicopter before game time like Saban did once at a home game! Not sure how the lay and play turf FSU installed will do with hard rain?
That raises an interesting question. Can you bring in a helicopter to dry out someone else's field?

My Iphone weather app says rain unlikely on Sat during the game. Only 25-30% chance, with temp 83 at KO and 82 at end of game.
James Spann ~noon today posted that there will likely be passing showers or storms during the game. Same temps as above.
These two indicate that it "likely" won't rain or won't be much of a problem if it does. Surely, cleats won't be an issue in this one. Temps won't be bad at all.

Accuweather makes it look like there will be some rain, but likely not throughout the game.

There is no direct reference to lightning, but sometimes there is a lightning bolt flashing from the rain cloud for a specific time period, usually a day or a hour, but not on Saturday’s cloud. So, I’m INTERPRETING that to mean no threat of lightning on Saturday at this time.
