It's pretty simple. Does Bama beat FSU if Saban is the coach, 100 out of 100 times. This isn't the Pac 12. Its the SEC. Where is the toughness, the effort, the desire to "make his ass quit." What are we doing?
LANK is gone and things that existed last season were on full display Saturday. So can you explain that? Apparently LANK wasn't the cause of the effort problems we saw last season. So who gets blamed for that?*I* don't know. That's above my pay grade. But he *does* have an impressive winning record ... everywhere he's been the coach.
We don't agree. After last year's LANK idiocy, I am choosing to view this as Coach DeBoer's Year One. (So I reject your assertion that DeBoer is "making the same mistakes" and repeating them.)

This here x 100. Do I think CKD is in over head? Yep. Do I think he truly didn’t have a firm grasp on what it takes to be successful at Alabama and in this conference? Absolutely. Is there a huge difference in “football culture” is his other stops versus our culture here? Yep. Is it time to “cut bait”? Nope. Got to try to weather the storm.I have absolutely zero confidence in him. In fact, I lost it after that Oklahoma game last year. But as mentioned above, the economic reality is he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
I feel that all of these issues boil down to culture and personality. His works in the Pacific Northwest, but it will never work in the Deep South. Especially not at a historic blue blood program.
The hope is that against all odds a leopard can change its spots before the economic scales tilt the other way.
Did you read where I posted I am choosing to view this as DeBoer's Year One? Why are you demanding I go back two years?LANK is gone and things that existed last season were on full display Saturday. But he’s making the same mistakes. Also, this is year two no matter how you want to spin it. I thought last year he was a terrible hire. I now know that. I don’t care what he did at Eastern Washington Fresno State or wherever he came from. This is Alabama. It should be obvious. I honestly hope I’m wrong and he proves it, but I doubt he’s able. This team is an embarrassment to the jersey they’re wearing, and that’s on the coaches.*I* don't know. That's above my pay grade. I have noticed a lot of #NeverDabo people. He is a whiner, he is down home/folksy(which I personally like), and he at times has a “punch me” face. But I will give ole Dabo this-his teams play extremely hard, they seem fairly disciplined on the field, and he has left a lot of blood and sweat in Ttown. Not saying he is the next, but saying he has some of the attributes that fans seem to be looking for. I honestly don’t think he would come running at this point in his career. I like Lane, but not as HBC. Which brings the question, who? Who would be available? Who would come? We are not exactly an easy bunch to please. Before the Deboer hire, I was hoping for Lanning, full disclosure.Alex Golesh from USF
Marcus Freeman from ND
DeMeco Ryans from the Texans (idk if he wants to coach college)
and look I’m a #NeverDabo guy but may have to take a call I don’t know
that’s all I can think of for now, I don’t think he’ll be fired but the fact that there’s already fans/media talking about the next coach is scary
I was probably one of the few that thinks Dabo is the best option. He may not be an option, but there are precious few multi national championship coaches with Bama ties left. He has his faults and he lost to LSU at home, but his team fights every game. I can handle a loss as long as we fight. One thing I think I know is we wouldn’t be the punchline of a lot of jokes with him.I have noticed a lot of #NeverDabo people. For very X amount of time you tolerate a cultural toxin, even after the source is gone I've found it takes at least 2x to expunge its effects. Leadership can determine how long the hangover lasts, so we have to hope CKD is taking the right steps out of our view...LANK is gone and things that existed last season were on full display Saturday. So can you explain that? Apparently LANK wasn't the cause of the effort problems we saw last season. So who gets blamed for that?
As of today its the staff that owes the apologies. If they turn this around then we're just going to call it even. But as of today, no one on the staff deserves apologies. They owe the apologies. Can I request all the mods to immediately ban or suspend anyone that starts a thread demanding an apology to DeBoer if we upset uga or any other team we are an underdog to?
Does the fact that a fair number of the players aren't from the Deep South affect your thinking?I have absolutely zero confidence in him. In fact, I lost it after that Oklahoma game last year. But as mentioned above, the economic reality is he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Interestingly enough, it took Brian Harsen 21 games to reach 4 losses to unranked opponents, whereas it has taken DeBoer 14.Thinking it’s time to part ways is a Barner mentality plain and simple.
We are a spoiled fanbase.
Not really.Does the fact that a fair number of the players aren't from the Deep South affect your thinking?
