I’m still trying to figure out how in the hell half of them are there. You can’t be in charge of choosing the 4 best teams when you don’t have a clue about football.
What I learned in 2019, and this was always true I just realized it then, the rankings down the line are to justify whatever they want to top 4-6 to be.

Welp, Florida's still not bowl eligible. I'd gladly welcome Napier back to the Saban Academy for Wayward Coaches.

Let’s see how a backup QB with very little experience handles the pressure of the Swamp next week.
It doesn't matter. The dummies on the committee will give FSU a pass if they lose to a non bowl Gator team because their star QB is out. Just watch. I was never for the expanded playoff format until these last two years. I wish it was already in place. All these morons do is reward a teams with the best records regardless of who they played or who is playing the best at the end of the season.

This latest iteration of the committee is atrocious

FSU is out with a loss. Not having a key player does not give them a pass. Their backup needs to play winning football for them to stay relevant.

They may get a pass for looking bad in a win.

Yes it is. The BCS was always the best way to do it.. It wasn't perfect but it took away the stupid human bias that has affected college football since the inception of the polls. Just look at Heisman voting by regions of the USA and it it obvious that humans can't be objective.

I don't have your optimism. Wish I did.
Not having a key player can be used to mitigate the stench of losses in games the player missed. Like suppose Georgia lost a close one without Bowers and now Bowers is back and they are dominating, they might not drop much from that loss.

With a key player out for the season, it sucks for FSU, but they still have to win. They don't get credit for people thinking they would have won if he played and I'm not sure why anyone would think that.

Also, there is no chance he comes back. So they are whatever they are without him now.
