No-one believes we can beat Florida...What do you believe?
In 1934 the undefeated Alabama was invited to play Stanford in the Rose Bowl and no-one believed they had a chance. They were 12 point underdogs.
They won 29 to 13.
Bear Bryant was on that Alabama team. He said the team was furious at being called an underdog. They believed.
Some of you may remember the undefeated 12 and 0 1992 Alabama team.
Underdogs to the University of Miami, they beat them 34 to 13. They believed
I still remember that newspaper story the day after the game.
"When the talk died down and they played the game, all you could hear was the sound of the rolling Tide."
By the way they got to that game by beating the Florida Gators in the first ever SEC Championship game.
You know we've been preaching something here since last year...finish it.
I have watched all of us come together and twelve times this year...we finished it...it's not finished yet.
When we walk on that field we will be facing the best team we have faced all year. They have great players who want to win this game.... Everybody says they are going to win this game... Everybody says Alabama will not be able to stop Florida's great offense.
I don't believe that for one minute... I know we can stop them. I've watched you play... I know we can beat them...I know we can finish it.
It's time to step up like the 1934 Alabama team, like the 1992 Alabama team did.
Nobody believed in them...but they believed.
This is not just a football game, it's history...it's your chance to be part of something that very few football players get... a chance to make history.
