Genetics and evolution

The default page counter in the software must be 8 pages.

And now bets are on as to how many MORE pages this latest call for proof will result in.

This thread has been stuck at eight for days.

I wonder what the real count is?

Feel free to apologize for your offensiveness.
that's how your post starts.

An apology is simply not in your abilities is it?
that's how it ends.

circular post structure ... just when i was thinking you didn't appreciate the mythos mumbo jumbo.

this is what i think about all that:
arguing about how many angels can fit on a pin reminds me of a volkswagen crammed with clowns, and i think it's silly. i think arguing about how much jesus can bench press is in the same boat. i don't doubt one or several messianic figures known as jesus actually lived when the bible says, but the character of jesus, as portrayed by scripture, is highly fictionalized, and thus in the same general category as hulk hogan etc., though clearly much cooler and far more influential. those are all things i believe. also, i don't believe in treating anything as sacrosanct, and like to have fun when i get on tidefans. but since my mawmaw told me not to play in church and since i missed your old curmudgeony a$$, i apologize for treating the subject with levity.

If you admit microevolution, you simply admit that adaptaion and intra speciation can occur -

A point that has been made earlier but, as usual, either over looked or just not read by the evolution side.

you're right it has been made earlier (see links below).
of course the whole idea of evolution predicts a gradation of forms. taxonomy is our system of describing the diversity of life we're aware of. likewise a whole spectrum of radiation is detectable by the various types of cones in our retinas. while certain of us make fine-grained descriptions of this light with terms like aquamarine or saffron or roadwork orange, most of us use broader terms of classification like blue or red. so just like we might disagree what's red and what's orange, experts disagree on what is meant by 'species'

here are links back to earlier treatments of the matter from the ala shrf antigay thread, which ends in a nice denoument from Slab

species concepts

scroll down page 6 for macroevolution points

That is your response to your dodge? That is it? You are not going to actually offer substance? This is it? Are you sure this is it? Your best effort?
Please tell me this isnt it...

Take a look at the bottom of the page when reading the thread. We are now on the 18th page - if you kept the default settings, which is 15 posts per page...

I'll bet it's a Tidefans record.

I am still waiting for proof that something came from nothing and then evolved.

There's this neat new thing called "the fossil record."

I'm still waiting for the perfect recipe for broiled cockroach. Because if the process of natural selection is a myth, then cockroaches ought to taste just like their larger, more expensive cousin--the Maine Lobster.

Maybe I should start a new restaurant franchise, called Brown Cockroach, and compete head to head with Red Lobster.

Which reminds me...

I saw (and ate) the largest Red Devil Crawfish I've ever encountered in my life. I mean, this thing was easily bigger than my hand. I wonder what animal that's related to? And why do we call these critters "mud bugs?"
