Game Thread: ***GEORGIA vs. BOISE STATE Game Thread***

At least we won't have to look at Richt and his goofy tan and facial expressions much longer. This guy is just a little odd for a football coach.
 
UGA just looks soft to me.

BSU needs to play UGA plus 7 more SEC games with half being on the road consistently winning before I respect them. Since they can't, they need to schedule a killer OOC schedule with the soft conference schedule they have.
 
How many different ways can UGA find to lose a game? Every time they had a chance to get back into it they killed themselves. As much as I like him as a person, I will be shocked if Richt finishes the season.
 
Spent the evening having dinner and a night out with some deployment buddies. Got home, turned on the TV, and as soon as I saw the georgia uniforms I switched to the lsu/oregon game. Didn't even need to check the score...winning programs don't sell their tradition or dress like that. Georgia should be ashamed.

I agree. Real men play real football. They don't play "dress up" and constantly use gimmicks for attention to deflect attention from their weaknesses. History and tradition should be honored not tarnished with costumes.
 
Thought Mike Leach said it best on Sirius. "I don't know who Boise plays next week, but it's not south Carolina like Georgia does. But, when it comes to circling and focusing on 2 or 3 teams a year, nobody does it better than Boise."

USF beat Notre Dame today. Do they get the same love that Boise gets? At least they play a half decent schedule every year. I mean anytime an announcer says "if they win their first game, with the schedule they play, they could make it to the BCS title game" I really have to roll my eyes. Boise State is the reason I think I would love to see a playoff in CFB. Its a one game season for these guys and nobody reality considers that in the media. Lets say Alabama leaves the SEC and goes indy, if we played that schedule we would never get to play for a title. The reason people would sayou Bama dogs not deserve to play it? You guessed it, the schedule. I remember one year, when Jimmie Johnson was coaching at miami they beat the SEC champs, the SWC champs and I believe the ACCess champs that year but lost one game, Notre Dame, ithink, and was left out of the National Championship talk that year. Why does the same logic not apply to Boise? Maybe if Boise scheduled a good ooc schedule I might respect them more.
 
Well, I watched Bama, LSU, and some of Boise... and judging by the games today, IMO the gap between Bama/LSU and Boise is tremendous. But we'll continue to hear the media fawn over BSU...bank on it.
 
I just saw a little of the Georgia game. It was too hard on the eyes to watch them play in those horrendous uniforms including the helmets.

I honestly thought Georgia would represent the SEC in a better way than they did today.

I guess Boise State moves up in the polls. I really wanted them to drop out of the top 25.
