Good News Thread

Tennessee is in pretty decent shape right now, bad as I hate to admit it. The barn on the other hand has MUCH bigger fish to fry. Carnell Williams.....Caddy....the biggest barner cheerleader on the planet...the one who stepped in after the Harsin disaster...him....HE doesn't want to be there anymore. He weathered some very tough storms there. He rode it out with them and now even he threw his hands up and said goodbye and good luck. That speaks volumes. So if they think that Saban retiring automatically turned us into Vanderbilt and them into Georgia....then they have somehow actually grown stupider

2 players have tweeted "Big News Coming Soon!" I can only guess this is good news. Just don't know what. Anyone know what it might be about?
Mbakwe has been with Ryan Williams most of the day. I really hope he’s back on board. Signing Williams could be a huge momentum swing for us right now.

Quote from Williams in the above article:
“I’m very interested in the new hire. Looking at his track record and what he’s done with offenses and how explosive they were,” Williams said. “That’s definitely something of interest to me, and I’d love to stay home. He told me that I was a priority for him with the way his offense is set up, and I would fit right in and make a lot of plays.”
“He knows what it takes, and he’s going to continue the culture and the Alabama standard. It’s not going to drop off one bit, and he just wanted me to understand that I could have a big role in that. I have open eyes and I want to hear them out. It’s just about building a relationship as fast as possible because I have a relationships with other coaches around t he country, so if that’s somewhere I’m considering, I need to have that. I love Alabama, I was committed there for a year for a reason. They definitely still have a shot.”...

I’m a little older than you and I remember when good seasons were few and far between. This program was in the wilderness after Stallings and before Saban. We have been incredibly spoiled over the last decade and a half. I feel that we have a coach who has what it takes to follow a legend

mea culpa. I felt like the team was in good hands and was set to win.

i remember the Bryant years very clearly and everything in between. The good aspect of our situation now is that we will have renewed interest in the team and we will enjoy wins with gusto rather than a yawn.

One last reliance on Saban and his judgement would be to understand Saban would not let a poor choice take over his team…My guess is he’s fully on board with DeBoer.

It will eventually come out that Cadillac didn't leave on his own, he was shown the door. Stay tuned...
