Tide’s Sharrief befriends kids at Woodland Forrest

TUSCALOOSA | When they sit at the short round table in the corner of the room, the rest of the world ceases to exist.

The drawings on the walls, the people walking down the hallway, the problems and chaos that are always beyond the driveway to Woodland Forrest Elementary School, none of it’s there, or matters. At least not after University of Alabama junior safety Ali Sharrief walks through the door for his weekly visit.
