Hamas attacks Israel - Part 2

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia has spoken about the scenes in Gaza today of Palestinians cheering on the coffins of the Bibas Family and Oded Lifschitz:

"What we saw today in Gaza is a disgrace to Islam, an act of blasphemy against Allah."

A little late, but I'll take it.

My gut reaction when I saw the Hamas display was to wish death from above on the whole lot of them. What kind of ghoulish thug would kill infants and put them on display like that. Hamas needs to be eradicated and salt the Earth around them.

That's a shame!

The Israeli Air Force executed a precise strike in Sidon, Lebanon, targeting Mohammad Shaheen, the head of Hamas’ operations in the country. Shaheen was killed in the attack, which took place amidst a fragile ceasefire with Hezbollah, just before Israel’s withdrawal deadline from southern Lebanon on February 18, 2025.

After what I saw this week, I'm like Powers Booth in Red Dawn:

The cease fire may not last too long since they did this.

I'm not sure that this is new, he says so many stupid things nits hard to keep track, but trump just said today that Oct 7 would never have happened if he was president.

Well, a worldwide pandemic DID happen and he WAS president.
14% unemployment happened and he WAS president.
His party lost all 3 "houses" of government and he WAS president.

So there.

No, he didn't start the fire, but he's also not trying to fight it, either.

I found this, but it's not exactly independent corroboration.

FIRST IN NATSEC DAILY – BACKLASH OVER GAZA TALKS: Democratic Majority for Israel, a pro-Israel Democratic advocacy group, is criticizing Sen. PETE RICKETTS (R-Neb.) for saying that Hamas should be part of the peace process, saying it is a “savage terrorist group” that doesn’t deserve to be involved, our Daniel Lippman writes in.

After news came out this week that Trump hostage envoy Boehler had met with Hamas officials to get more Americans out of Gaza, Ricketts said that “to get to peace [in the Middle East], you have to have both sides at the table.”

DMFI President and CEO MARK MELLMAN argued to NatSec Daily that Ricketts was wrong and that Hamas “does not belong at the table for peace negotiations in a post-war Gaza. Indeed, Hamas must have no role whatever in a post-war Gaza.”

“Both the Biden-Harris administration and the Trump-Vance administration have been clear in stating that Hamas can have no role in post-war Gaza,” Mellman added. “Senator Ricketts should repudiate his statement.”

A spokesperson for Ricketts didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Yeah, I found that and also a reference to it on a Jewish news site, but it seems odd that I can't find a direct quote anywhere.

I'd not normally doubt some crazy quote but this one sounds a lot like what many are saying about Ukraine/Russia, which made me wonder if it was taken out of context.

Hamas political bureau member Abu Obeida al-Jamasi and his family were reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, making him the third senior Hamas official eliminated in the renewed strikes.

What genuinely stuns me about the October 7th attacks is how defenseless the kibbutzim were.
If I lived a few km from Gaza, I'd be packing an AR and a lot of ammo (as in several hundred on me and thousands rounds in the house). Heck, I look into getting a belt-fed machine gun and some hand grenades. I would would not care overmuch whether that was illegal under Israeli law.
Living in a defenseless kibbutz in that neck of the woods is insane.

Washington, D.C. – Judicial Watch announced today that Judge Reggie B. Walton has ordered the U.S. State Department to explain its claim that the recipients of a Biden-era United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Gaza aid grant cannot be disclosed because the agency’s workers could be put at risk by Israel. Today at a court hearing on the issue Judge Walton was incredulous at the State Department’s argument, as it necessarily implied that it is the U.S. Government’s position that U.S. ally Israel would purposely target and kill innocent air workers in Gaza The order comes in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit seeking records from USAID regarding $27 million in grants allocated to “Miscellaneous Foreign Awardees” for use in Gaza.
