Nothing. I didn’t say I thought it would; notice the capitalized “IF”? That means a big “IF”.
I was only saying that it could, and I followed up with others posts indicating what I actually thought.

I agree, but I can't use the Like, Face Palm, Head Bang, and Mad emojis at the same time.
The reality of it is that Byrce is the one guy that has a clear path, but like we saw with RGIII and Lamar they can pull crap out of nowhere to avoid awarding a guy on a national championship contending team. I honestly wouldnt be shocked if they start setting up Pittsburgh's qb as an alternate in the coming weeks at this point.

Ohio State has a history of clunking against a mediocre West opponent in that game, even if they do usually win.
That’s true, and their two toughest games are still in front of them. That’s why I hope Bryce can lock up most the votes in the iron bowl. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Ohio state throttle both Michigan state and Michigan.

Seems to me that if 2 90+% completion days, leading the conference and what, 2d, in the nation in TD passes, maybe the same in QB rating plus leading a final 4 team to the playoffs doesn't cement wnning a Heisman, then it just isn't about who's the best player - its just another participation trophy.

Yep. Like I said earlier, if Bryce has good games against the Barn and UGA but doesn’t win the award, then it’s a sham.

well it might be enough since Michigan will undoubtedly be #5 and Wisconsin will be lauded as the best defense in the country. It’s how the Heisman works.
Yep this is the setup I was worried about 2 weeks ago. We need Michigan to somehow make him look average and Bryce needs to unquestionably light up the barn defense. If it’s neck and neck going into championship weekend then Stroud wins in my opinion. I hope I’m wrong for multiple reasons, but I can’t imagine Bryce putting up better numbers against Georgia versus Stroud playing the badgers. The crazy thing is Bryce just shredded a much better Arkansas defense but that won’t be the narrative

Looks like Stroud overtook Bryce as the favorite according to the some oddsmakers
Pretty crazy to me. I thought he would before our game but then Bryce went off too. Arguably had a more impressive game against a much better defense.

Michigan States pass defense is ranked 130 in the country. Out of 130 teams....

Regardless it'll still be won over the next 2 weeks probably

In regards to the Bryce/CJ debate, I’d put it like this, without CJ, I’d argue that Ohio State is still in the Playoff hunt, without Bryce, I don’t think we’re 10-1 with Paul Tyson or a raw Jalen Milroe combined with a first year OC, bad OL, bad secondary, and bad DC.

I agree but this is the Kyler vs Tua thing all over again. Voters are going to hold onto ballots and say “we only watch in November and December”. It’s like I said earlier… someone is going to come out of nowhere because No one likes a runaway.

However looking at their stats they are nearly identical. People were always going to try to justify the Bryce Young alternate. I was hoping it wasn’t another P5 quarterback.

Agreed. However, Stroud wasn’t really in the race until yesterday. So naturally he’ll win it.
I dunno, I've been following writers all season - most of them that I've seen have had Stroud in the top 5, often in the top 3, for a while now. This may be the first time he's getting a nod at #1, but it's not like he's come out of nowhere. He's had a great season.
